Sorry guys had to create a new topic in order to voice my opinion more clearly lol

whilst reading the topic about Sid statements I was very upset about what Sid said. However I watched the interview and all the discussion and hype was over nothing.

Sometimes we all may mix up and have trouble articulating whatever we feel or want to say and I think that's what happened with this case.

He did say he is not that insecure to compete with a female actress ( i think he just meant that he is working on a film and he should be working on himself, his focus should be on improving himself and not competing with his co-actor, who in this case happens to be a female)

with the male and female energy, he is right different things are expected about males and females from the audience, there is no movie where the actress doesn't dance whilst the actor does, atleast not in bw ( sorry if i am wrong) he didn't say males are meant to "act", he just said something different is what is expected of them in comparison to females.

Anupama Chopra's interviews and movie reviews are simply the best. She gets the best out of her guests - asks the most insightful questions and is so likeable.

I truly rely on her reviews before I watch ANY film..

I actually like Sid, despite what my posts on the other topic might have suggested. 😆 However, I think it was a case of word vomit through parts of the interview.

I feel he himself isn't sexist, but was describing how it is in the industry and how they have to work according to the stereotypical parameters in place.

KANK jaisa haal ho gaya Sid ka.

That being said, he shouldn't have said it, 'cause it just came out wrong.

I agree. He definitely needs to learn how to talk in interviews! 😆 I think he wants to say something but ends up saying something else. Very inarticulate. But he definitely doesn't look like a bad person. Bas doesn't know how to speak and what to speak and when to speak! 😆

If you watch the full interview, you get what he was trying to say. He could have said it better, no doubt about that.

Yeah, I think he does need to think before he speaks these days.😆 As you said, not able to articulate his position well enough.

Not just IF, people on YT noticed it too. Oops.
