If you don't know about him, does not mean he is not a star. Just that he is not as vocal or visible, but you cannot have a 20 year career as a hero mind you, not a supporting actor and not have a fan base. He may not have vocal fans on social media but perhaps it is the masses who go and it is they who have given him a career.
Ajay is someone who came from a very ordinary family and succeeded very well. He is very private, but he also likes material goods like the next star. He is the first actor in India to own a private plane, just that you will not hear about it unless you follow him which I do because of Kajol. They have several houses, the usual farmhouse, I don't think they live in an apartment and have several nice cars requisite of an actor. He also has rishtaas with old BW families. Ajay and Kajol were one of the few who were invited to Abhishek's and Ash's wedding IIRC and I think it is because Ajay's dad worked with BigB on his stunts in many movies. He does not go to award shows much or gives interviews but he does give them. He is very private, exceedingly so but believe me when you look at all the trappings of what makes a star, be it long career, material wealth in the millions of dollars, houses, cars, plane, production company that does other things other than produce movies he has them all and most of it is his earnings, not Kajol's.
