No matter when u release ur film, audience will love it if it is good, how much it shows in verdict.

Best example is Akki's biggest hit is MOHRA, it came in 1994 where he did 11 films. So imagine the kind of akkism in that year when movies were coming every month rapidly?

Same way calling Dabangg 2 underperformer is also not right, That is Salman's back to back 5the Blockbuster in a row, which in any way is not easy task, not even for Aamir Khan who holds highest grosser record or Srk who is consistent for 20+ years.

Dabangg 2 has 84 Cr Distributor share, some films don't even touch that in lifetime, while Srk's flop recently touched that as Lifetime Total.

Back to Back Lagataar BLOCKBUSTER deke bhi agar Underperformer ka tag mil jaaye, then what is actually success?

BOI did said about Dabangg 2 not doing more than Dabangg, it is right in that context, but as a individual film it is one of the biggest smash hit films. Even footfalls is above 2 Cr, which is 3rd highest after PK & Dhoom 3 even now.

Xmas Release Footfalls

1. PK = 3.50 Cr
2. Dhoom 3 = 2.97 Cr
3. Dabangg 2 = 2.05 Cr
4. Bajirao Mastani = 1.88 Cr
5. Dilwale = 1.53 Cr

Okay. I think you guys are misunderstanding me here, I'm not bashing Salman or anything like that, I'm just saying Dabangg 2 barely making more the original Dabangg was underwhelming.

I remember back when it was releasing, people were aiming for it to beat 3 idiots all time highest grossing record, instead it failed to beat Ek Tha Tigers record. Which is a shame because Dabangg was massive hit, the film that started Salman's second reign in Bollywood.

It may have been a blockbuster etc but it definitely underperformed to everyone's expectations.

Also, Akshay had 11 releases in 1994? That's crazy 😆

Nothing was expected from Salman, his bad phase was going for that decade (not 90's), at that time this box office war didn't existed...

After Wanted

People expected him to give HITs now

After that 3 Idiots came

After Dabangg

It beat Ghajini (ATG/) & People thought he is back in his 90's FORM, he will score big

Then came READY

People expected it to beat DABANGG, it fell SHORT, but it beat Ghajini.

Then came BODYGUARD

People expected it to beat DABANGG, it did crossed Dabangg by 3 cr,

Then came EK THA TIGER

Now is the time when PPL Pushed SALMAN "ke Ja SALMAN tod de 3 Idiots ka RECORD"

It fell short of few crores, exatly 15 Cr

Then came DABANGG 2

Ab MEDIA has already started expecting Salman to beat HIGHEST GROSSER 3 Idiots - Chalo it is sequel of Salman's 1st big hit this decade, just PUSH IT AS MUCH IT CAN...

It fell short, 51 Cr to be precise...

Then Came Dhoom 3

Then Came Jai Ho

Phirse Expectations - Dhoom 3 Beat Karo, 3 Idiots Beat Karo

It failed badly, did 109 Cr

Then Came KICK

Phir Expectations - Beat 3 Idiots / Dhoom 3

It manage to beat 3 Idiots, fell short of Dhoom 3

Sooraj - Salman combo... HAHK Syndrome, Kardo Expectations ki chadayi = It will beat PK

It fell short of even 3 Idiots

Till now just imagine, with every Salman film, they expect

- 100 Cr Paar

- 200 Cr Paar

- 300 Cr Paar

- 337 of PK karo Paar

This is never ending cycle of Expectations just from SALMAN KHAN FILMS, not even 1 star is there who is expected like this to beat Aamir Khan, others are chasing Salman, but he is expected to beat AAMIR KHAN...

At the end what has Salman manage to achieve in this exercise:::::

1. 10 Success films in a row = Record

2. 10 - 100 Cr Films = Record

3. Back to Back Blockbuster = 5

4. Back to back Blockbuster/Hits = 4

5. 3 - 200 Cr Films = Record (sharing with Aamir)

6. 2 - 300 Cr Films = Record

7. 5 - 100+ Cr Distributor share Films = Record

8. 10 Biggest GROSSERS of any Star from Same Decade & in just 6 years of span = Record

Now i am expecting Aamir / Srk to make any 1 of these RECORD if possible 😆

Arey baba, I don't care if SRK's movies are making money in US. I live in UK.
NRIs are not mad. Why would we watch movies that are flopping in India. We are tuned to Indian reviews . But overseas also has large Pak, Bangladesh audience who are mass followers of SRK. Poorane zamane ke pukke fans hai . They make his movies hit 😆 . That's what I have seen. Don't ask me proof now 😆

Anjaane mein hi sahi, but u r bang on... UK is SRK's Biggest Market in Overseas, he has to maintain this grip in this circuit, warna USA ke tarah, he will loose overseas sab jagah se 😆
