Wiki is wrong then. There is nothing wrong with Rishi. It's Rani's character that is infertile and can't have kids. It was shown in the movie that Maya never really wanted to marry Rishi. She felt obligated to do it because his family was close to her. She was never attracted to him and thought he acted like a kid.

Rani was infertile.. No one was impotent.. Rani did not have any interest in Abhi because she never wanted to marry him

Itni suljhi hui bacchi maine aaj tak nahi dekhi. Kabhi uff tak nahi karti. Shadi karna ho to kar legi. Dusra hotel lejata hai to chali jayegi. Kabhi nakhre nahi dikhati. 😆

^Honestly, a lot of Indian girls marry in exactly the same way Maya did. Rishi was a nice man, educated and wealthy, his family also treated her well. She didn't have a boyfriend or anyone else so she married just like a lot of people in arranged marriages do.

But she was never able to be attracted to him sexually. She treated him like a little brother - did his laundry, cooked his food, cleaned the house. She took care of him but wasn't romantically interested in him. She also felt guilty because she couldn't give him kids.

Dev also had a bad marriage and that's how the affair started.

Aise waise nahi gayi pura planning and bandobast ke sath gayi. Both had time off from work. It was just the right time of the month for her. She made sure it was raining outside. She also made sure his wife and her husband will be somewhere else dancing like maniacs. Something tells me this wasnt her first time. Hotel mein ghuste waqt bhi camera ko nahi dekh rahi thi mu chupake seedhe room ko bhag gayi.

She reminds me of my uncle who has diabetis and his wife asked him did you had cake and he said no while bits and pieces were all over his moustache. Acting to aise kiya when Abhi asked her a straight question like she didnt get him and then also acted disgusted that he was insinuiting something like that against her.
