I have not watched KANK and so cannot comment but ADHM does not seem to be on infidelity.

Since SRK would be playing Aish's dead husband, either she is RK's past or he meets her when she is a widow. The latter seems to be not a possibility since Aish-RK looked very comfortable with each other.

RK is good...

but a role like ayan...srk-salman nails it with perfection with their innocence and intense eyes...the salman innocence in love stories and srk intense eyes in love stories is just missing in RK...he is more of mechanical...i could not connect with ayan's one side love...whereas i could feel aakash pain in saajan for loosing pooja...i could feel aman's pain for naina in khnh...srk-ash nails it with their chemistry...if only salman-ash did not had a bad history...salman can play ayan...he has done lots of one side love stories in his 90s...srk is god of romance...

I am thinking the story is something like this ---

Ranbir and Anushka are an alliance set by their parents.

Their friendship is going great.

Ranbir meets Aish somewhere

He's blown away and totally consumed in his love for Aish, she was all who he wanted! Aish also likes Ranbir but beats around the bush to get to the point :p ...I am thinking Aish is some widower or maybe a survivor of domestic abuse by husband..

Ranbir and Aish realise their soulful connection one day after some flirting around and stuff. Both madly in love.

Ranbir turns around and tells Anushka, he has found his soulmate and is sorry, and cannot continue his relationship with her - a relationship that wasn't even their decision in first place!

Anushka is all angry now - broken-hearted and angry - "you idiot, you know we belong together, how could you do this - I had dreams!!! " 🤬 both have heated arguments!

Meanwhile Fawad - a guy crushing on ANushka for a long time pushes Ranbir in the middle of the road "you cheater 🤬"

Ranbir is apologetic and tries tries tries to make amends with Anushka while maintaining that Aish has his heart.

Anushka finnaly forgives.. wants him in her life too...both share emotional moment where Anushka tells that she should've respected his opinion and both say they will remain buddies.

Aish is waiting for Ranbir to run into her arms...!

I saw KANK on TV and hated it.

I hope its not like KANK where one wife is sleeping with other's husband😭

that kjo way of showing passionate love...🤣

after watching the film in the theater...i felt like slapping kjo right across his face to direct such cheapness on-screen...😡

Infidelity is the harsh truth of many relationships across the world and I don't see the problem in trying to represent that via films.

I don't think KANK endorsed infidelity or glorified it. I feel KANK just simply narrated the story of one such case of infidelity.

I also feel Indian audiences had a problem with it specifically because Rani's character, a woman, was not presented as the usual adulterous woman- fickle and without a moral compass. I think they had the same problem with SRK's character too, but not to the extent they would have had with Rani.

They accept infidelity when it comes to movies like Biwi No 1 or shows like Bhabhiji because it's the man who is indulging in it without real repercussions, but since KANK's portrayal of infidelity was not as caricaturist as them, it struck a nerve.
