Yes he has Canadian citizenship. No big deal. It is entirely possible to be a patriotic Indian while holding a Canadian citizenship.

or any other citizenship for that matter...sirf citizen hone se koi patriotic nahi ho jaata hai.

kya fark padta hai...technicalities se...at least he is not letting down India in anyway and is contributing towards India, doing so much charity...kya fark padta hai if his passport is Canadian?

Depends. But they must still file income taxes every year. Americans must also pay taxes if they live and work abroad. I have to file tax returns 4 times for 4 different countries due to my complicated citizenship / work status.

Does it mean those who migrated abroad are no longer patriotic to their home land? Specially in his case as he was born and brought up in India so he is very much an Indian. You can only blame India for being one of the few countries who do not give dual citizenship while many others do. They force the hand on people to make difficult choices and even punish them. They did with my parents. Had to shell out 700 dollars to surrender their citizenship just so they could apply visa for India.

people are patriotic by their acts and not because of some piece of paper...don't u think Akki is more patriotic than those corrupt neta who are eating India from inside while being Indian citizens?
