Love it.. minus the candle stand..

I liked the entrance with Ganeshji and the couch twinkle and Akki sitting on, it looks cozy. Everything else looks cluttered and too fancy to be called home.

The hype around Twinkle falls flat in these pics. The arrangement is too cluttered and some of it seems of out place. It seems to be put there just for effects rather than a thought of concept.

Okay that does not look nice at all.. Not at all homely

I remember reading that Hrithik also lives in another flat in the same building and Akshay Kumar's mother and sister also live in the same building... Pretty sure Twinkle has talked about them living in different flats in the same building in her column / book (Mrs Funnybones).

Bungalows in Mumbai are really expensive. The only actors I can recall who live in bungalows are SRK, Rishi Kapoor (apparently they are breaking down their bungalow and making a 10-storey building), Dilip Kumar, Rekha, Bachchans etc... Most of the older actors have bungalows because it wasn't so expensive back then.

Thank you. I got thrown off by the garden/entrance. It looked like a bungalow rather than a flat. But i guess the stars idea of apartment is different from our idea 😊

But i honestly do wonder, how expensive can a bungalow even be in mumbai ? The male stars take home like minimum 10 crores for a movie + a billion advertisements. How come they still can;t afford it ? I remember srk saying that he pretty much went bankrupt to buy his house. How expensive are they?

why do so many stars have such houses with just too much going on..kisi ki taste acchi nahi hai kya?

Why he bought the specific bungalow in Juhu is an interesting story - It goes back to almost twenty three years, when a young Rajeev Hari Om Bhatia, who was looking to work in Bollywood and wanted to get his portfolio made approached top glamour photographer Jayesh Sheth. Unfortunately, Rajeev didn't have the necessary funds to pay Jayesh, so he requested the photographer to allow him to work as his assistant in lieu of payment for the portfolio shoot. To his joy, Jayesh agreed. Akshay worked with Jayesh for almost a year and a half before the portfolio shoot happened.

For the portfolio shoot, the very same Juhu bungalow was chosen as the outdoor location. The bungalow was at that time in a state of disrepair and deserted looked. Both reached the place, but during one the shots, the watchman of the bungalow who was seriously annoyed about the shooting happening inside the property, shouted and abused them, even while threatening to call the cops ; they were finally shooed off the property!

But, the story has a happy ending because that young struggler, now super star Akshay Kumar, lives in the very same place!
