Yeah, I know that being detained is not the equivalent of having been found guilty. But just wondering on what basis they pick people to ask questions.

In this particular case, he's been detained a couple of times earlier and let go. So they know he doesn't have a history. Then why repeat the same thing again and again?

But then yeah, like someone mentioned, if there is a terrorist who goes by the same name, I guess they do not have much of an option but make sure he is clear. Wonder if all Shahrukhs get detained.

Ex president of India APJ Abdul Kalam was also detained and we all know how great of an individual he was. The system can flag you for any reasons. Religion, age, travelling alone or single, your past history of statements or conflict with CBP authorities, a matching name on their terrorist watchlist, or simply if the officers deems there is something suspicious looking about you that he would need to get more information. When you get detained they ask you bunch of questions, sometimes they will inspect your baggage, and or they will also chemically swab your hands and feet to make sure it has no explosive residue.

I dont think it's done randomly.. I haven't seen anyone from the queue getting detained in a regular basis.. 😕 They would detain you only if they are highly suspicious of you .. It's not quite normal..

We cannot be sure as to their reason for detaining him because TSA/Homeland Security is not going to share this information with public unless they deem it necessary. So I guess we'll never know.

Considering the present times, I would say, better be safe than sorry. Doesn't matter who it is, airport security has go to do what is necessary to safeguard their own country.

Next time onwards, SRK should factor in the time that he's going to spend at the airport and schedule his events accordingly. 😆

Once someone gets on their list, they are forever picked I guess 😆

Dude,TSA has made so many people miss their flights. I have always found TSA to nice as long as you follow the procedures. I easily fly in and out internationally ,but there have been worse cases than his so nothing to complain about. The process is strentious but in a way I am glad we have it. I am glad TSA does take extra pre-caution .

Of course ...the biased treatment that most of the muslims get at the airports is because they all have terror links...

I am surprised that even Muslims can not empathize what another muslim goes through...

We have a friend who is a frequent flyer..and keeps 2 hours extra because his name is the same as someone on the No fly list at the airports...way to disrespect the plight of hundreds of muslims..I don't know what will happen if Donald Trump becomes the President...oh nothing ...because SRK won't be allowed in US then..

and as for SRK...so what if u were detained for 2 hours...let them do their work...they are protecting us from any wrong person that might slip and come in the country...ur inconvenience cannot be bigger than human lives😳
