Why s Shoba De demotivating these athletes? If she can't motivate them, she has no right to hurt them...They tried their best. It's very hard to even qualify.

She's an arm chair expert. The medals are just lying there. These athletes just need to bend and pick them up. And after they win they will arrive at railway station and wait for auto rickshaw. If by chance they get famous everyone will promise them land and facilities and opportunities. After 3 months sab athletes ki chappal ghis jayengi lekin koi paper ya paisa nahi milega.

AB Sr is an idiot. That tweet was so unnecessary especially after Quetta.

But it was a heartbreaking day , we lost to German, current Champions in the last 3 seconds and Bindra's gear malfunctioned during the final round.

Indian Hockey team is doing well otherwise and still has a shot of qualifying for the QFs.

But the Indian contingent needs support. People like Shobha De tweet shit to get buzzed and totally diverted attention from the men/women performing today. Our girls are taking on GB right now in hockey, btw.

Feel so bad for Indian athletes...Most hail from poor families and they shed their blood and sweat for qualifying and then in the end get ridiculed by these so called jurnos...

Yes. Most of them belong to poor families and have real struggle between training and doing something else to earn your bread and butter. Too many road blocks and lack of support has killed the dreams of many budding athletes. It is a lot worse if you are a female. You have to deal with a lot of sleazebag and managers and politicians who try to take advantage of them. Olympics and hockey/kabbadi is notorious for this.
