I think dp was dusky and lots of Indians girls including me is dusky. Most of time BFs dump when they find fair & lovely types of girl. Back then dp looks so simple not stunning as kat and Ranbir was like every girls's dream. So after break up she played her victim card very well cries here and there and Ranbir never defend him well. So people keep assuming and get negative perception from hard working pr of others.

I don't think Ranbir is perfect or demi God, holier than thou. I feel he doesn't commit any sin compare to others who worshiped like anything but their fans overlook their faults and overreacting when it comes to Ranbir.

DP manages to get her previous BFs under one roof which gives the impression that she ended things amicably so people do not have a reaosn to doubt about her image
All that being said, let RK give a string of hits and the bad reputation of today will turn the image of a loving Casanova tomorrow.. Nothing speaks like success😆

@ bold: you mean he never stood up for himself? because we all know his girlfriends can very much stand up for themselves.

Deepika has a persona built around how Ranbir dumped her..how she went through hell..her film choices got affected and how she came out stronger in the end...not to mention, how apparently after she got over him or tried moving on, she became successful. As someone mentioned, it's similar to how Taylor Swift has built an image. Do you see all of Swift's exes coming out and explaining their side of the story? No. In Deepika's case, she has dated several people..as the TM states, she has had more relationships with public figures than Ranbir but when it comes to Ranbir..it's different. He's a high profile actor...and the only ex people like gossiping about. Ranbir's famous (regardless of how others may try denying that)..people actually care about him unlike an Upen Patel or whoever else she dated. So the woman has milked their story.

Bollywood also doesn't have that many high profile actors like Hollywood or the west generally speaking. So, while Swift's exes can move on without caring much about how Swift presents them..in Bollywood if you end a relationship with someone famous it just never ends. Perhaps Ranbir can come out and start defending himself? sure..but I personally don't feel it's needed. Not everything needs to be spoken about..and where does the guy begin? This has been going on for years.

As I said...the woman will mostly, always get the sympathy in such situations. Even when you don't know the other side of the story, people will side with the women..and people believe it. It's easier for women to build stories off of past relationships than guys. And perhaps that's why some of these male actors don't even try clarifying even if they wanted to.

Dating multiple people at various times is not wrong...dating two at same time or cheating while in a relationship is wrong...n from what I've read everywhere n ranbir himself told in kwk, he did that...

Also, in the real world..it's extremely hard to behave super friendly, all lovey dovey etc and not to mention still give "love you" shoutouts to your ex who apparently cheated on you and left you in the dumps.

That's just all drama. Either you're still in love with him (aka the guy who cheated on you) OR you have some ulterior motives.

^^ I have never denied that DP did not use the breakup to the fullest.. I have been among the very few DP fans who have agreed about it.. What I am trying to say is that with RK, public gets to hear from DP that he cheated on her, he himself agreed that he cheated on her.. Public sees that when he gave no support whatsoever to Kat during the whole open letter debacle.. Public hears his father talking about his GFs with A B C D.. they see his mother cropping his GF out from a pic.. And amidst all this, you do not hear a word from RK.. dignified silence is all very well but sometimes, when you are a public figure, you need to turn things in your favor and this is where RK fails.. So its not really a surprise that he has a bad reputation

With DP, as I said, none of her BFs had anything bad to say about her so why should she get a flack simply because she has more BFs.. from the pov of Public, she has conducted herself well in the relationship that she has been in

You can talk about it at times when asked or so, fine..but to constantly talk about it..play the victim card and drag it is not normal. I assume both Deepika and Ranbir are above high school drama. As far as norm nahi hai, I agree... But as I said, he did not do anything to counter the image that DP created and there lies his fault.. It does not have to be about his relationship alone but the least he could have done is control his parents.. from the outsider pov, it appears like he shows no respect in his relationships to the girl and thus the girl already gets the benefit of having the image k she was trying to make the relationship work because she was in love.. RK is the only one who is to be blamed for his bad reputation

DP dated RK 2 boyfriends pehle..7 years back. 2 years with Sid and 4 with RS🤔

As far as I know,nothing ever was reported during the 2 film shoots after split.There werent even any blinds...months after shoot,they made headlines while promoting.

Everyone does it..Havent Sidrina said that they love each other..no Alia fan is bawling her eyes out LOL(neither did any Shradha fan for that matter during Fitoor promotions).

People just over react to RKDP's style of promoting.Even that is over.
