You guys have no idea but you dodged a bullet there. Genelia did a lot of telugu movies and played the bubbly girl in movie after movie with the same gamut of expressions and irritating voice (dubbing artists fault) that I am eternally grateful to Ritesh Deshmukh for taking her off our hands

I think she was never overly ambitious regarding her film career. She's talented but not much versatile (looks played their part) she was never offered any varied roles so most probably she got bored. Secondly I think she always knew once she becomes a deshmukh she will not be allowed to act ( similar thing happened to ritesh's bhabhi) so never really bothered much.

I loved loved Jane tu ya jane na!! Have seen her in south films too.. and she is an awesome personality in real life!! But ya seems like she is happy where she is and not really intrested in doing movies!

before she did jaane tu ya jaane na, she had done almost 50 plus movies down south easily, both in tamil and telugu

she always played the bubbly girl with a dubbed voice

now she is settled well

She is adorable! I have loved her since she came in a Tamil movie called Boys and watched some more adorable stuff like Santosh subramaniam. Such a cutie she was
And the JTYJN!! How cute was she!

She doesn't in anyway look her age of 28-29 and could have had a pretty decent career for a while more had she not picked family over it
But she n Ritesh look blissfully happy together so I guess she wasn't overtly ambitious..

She's beautiful and also seems like she is genuinely a nice person. She is a great actress, first movie I saw of her was bommarillu, which was a cute movie. I understand she is a mom and married now, but hopefully if she wants to she returns to the big screens soon! Miss her in films.😭 I am a fan of her, as you can probably tell by my writing. 😆
