It is unreasonable to expect him to take a time out as though he's a child or leave the premise if he isn't threatening or harassing me, all because he got a boner for who knows what reason. There is nothing "wanton" about having a boner while working out and likewise, nothing wanton about nipples hardening while working out.

Like I said earlier, people can be offended till the cows come home but you can't impose your sensibilities on her; that is sexist. You feel women's nipples should be adequately covered to your liking when women are working out or wherever. Good for you but it does not become women's responsibility to cater to your sensibility.

I also go to gym. There is seperate women's only section. But women can come and work out in my area. While I cannot go and work out in women's area. Where is my gender equality?

Andy Murray didn't face flack because probably he doesn't usually wear a bra. But women do. Now we can complain why he doesn't wear one but this is how it has been. He also happens not to breastfeed from them. But I get it this is another cause for equality. It is also about entitlement.

But sadly for twinkle she takes part in the same regressive practices that she seems to be speaking about. After all women's breasts and nipples are no big deal. It is just like men. Just like Andy Murray. Change begins at home. I look forward to Twinkle revolting against it.

I said black because out of all tennis players, she has been continuously been ridiculed the most for her appearance.

Its not about nipples, it about preferring NIPPLES over HER ACHIEVEMENTS! Talking about the former and not latter...
And attitude towards it.
Why is Varun's junk(on purpose) a joke, with people laughing it off WHILE a Leading Actress accidental nipple show make people call her a s**t, wh**e..

I was hoping you would support me in my fight towards equality and such discriminatory practices. My gym has already told me to deal with it just like how Selena has told others to deal with it. Im going to ask Twinkle to help me fight this injustice and write a column on this and not become a part of selective equality.

#BlackNippleMatters? I guess? 🤔
Im not joking about Varuns junk. Selena's wardrobe malfunction is not accidental either it is more like deal with it, in your face haters. And nipples arent a big deal for both Selena and Twinkle. Yet ironically enough both seem to be a part of the problem they are trying to fight against. If you feel it is unfair then time for some civil disobedience and making a statement. By continuing on to cloth themselves and cover their nipples and claiming it isnt a big deal and then having the gall to call others misognist is hypocrisy at its best.

I wouldn't usually comment on another woman's body, but could someone give Serena Williams something to cover her nipples...very distracting
" Jess C (@CordyCat3456) July 5, 2016

With all the money Serena Williams earns, why can't she buy a decent sports bra which covers her nipples properly
" Katie Fathers (@katiefathersxx) July 5, 2016

from the men's final

it turns out andy murray's nipples weren't distracting from the match but serena's nipples were a distraction

Are those comments from women?

I honestly don't understand the big deal. They are nipples that are covered.
Have they never seen this before.

--> Is nipple-show for athletes a fairly common occurence?
Yes.

--> Do people feel 'distracted' from the game only by female nipples?
Yes.

--> Do they deserve to be called "misogynists" for saying it?
No.

--> Are they justified in shaming and trolling the distracting female athlete in question into wearing (perhaps uncomfortable) undergarments in the future, so that her nipples do not distract them?
HELL NO.

Despite winning a match, being at top of her field she is being discussed not for her achievements but for her body or for her nipples. Yes it's a norm, it brings hits and TRPs but its UNETHICAL and it needs to be changed. Its media and such ignorants because of which people have an image of Serena being sex machine making sounds of moaning and lady with huge boobs rather than a successful tennis player.

Andy Murray winner of Wimbledon Men Singles, didn't face anything of same. (His nipples were visible as well) That's what Twinkle is pointing, there are thousands of pics of Paes out there but never have they been talked of. Even if media outlet thinks of reporting these, people are gonna buzz the issue off and laugh upon it the way they did with Varun's junk. They never gonna be bashed for considered a hurdle in match they are PART OF!

yes this is her main point
But I understand why there was such a hue and cry over Serena's nipples. How else will you try and pull a woman on top of her game to your level, obviously not when the only thing you swing is a fly swatter while sitting in front on the TV and even then miss three of the four flies sitting on your bowl of French fries? So, you simply body-shame her.

she backs it up with this
I had a picture of Mr Paes and his nipples sticking out of a sweaty black Nike t-shirt as he swung his racket fiercely; and I also found pictures of a whole bunch of other male and female tennis players exhibiting the same.

there are instances of female tennis players exhibiting the same, but it is not an issue, until a top ranked player is playing a match in the semi-final. serena williams body shaming on social media happens every year.
