The trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmavati starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh is set to be released today. The announcement was made on all social media platforms and it will be a digital launch.

On the occasion of trailer launch, SLB spoke about his excitement to a leading daily. He stated, "I'm overwhelmed by the love the film has received so far. Padmavati is a tribute to our brave Rajput men and women and a story that the entire country will be proud of."

Whereas the co-producer of Padmavati, Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Motion Pictures said, "We've been consistently on a path to produce and present ground-breaking movies in myriad ways.Padmavati, the long-cherished collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is our epic historical drama, a genre that is a favourite with the Indian moviegoer and celebrates mass Hindi cinema at its glorious best. This first trailer will truly bring to life our endeavour to redefine Indian cinema."

Padmavati is slated to release this year on December 1, 2017.

Recently, during an interaction with a publication, Ranveer spoke about his connection with SLB. He said, "We have a very special connection something the entire fraternity and audience acknowledges and recognizes. And this is most evident when we collaborating on a hot set together - when we are in the thick of shooting a scene that's when the chemistry can be witnessed in all its glory. Being directed by him is by far one of the most rewarding and fulfilling creative experiences I have had in my entire life.
