Varun Dhawan and Alia praised Kick openly when HSKD was releasing. It's called being strategic by being endearing to a popular star's fans.

(Nothing wrong with it but if it becomes so obvious that you start getting called out, well oh well)

He is doing it for YRF and for himself

It means more money to spend on his own film Befikre, releasing this year.

Those 100 people in the theater already paid for their tickets..but his antics got enough media coverage and added more visibility.

Salman added some more mileage to that episode.He is still promoting the film admirably..making interesting headlines.
