Not only D, even if it was Rana or Tammy she would have been there that's her nature.

Regarding your question didn't his family watch pacha bottesina why one rule for him and one for others, well that has been the norm in our male dominated society a man can do whatever he wants but a woman shouldn't. Their son can act anyhow but dil must be covered from head to toe. That's the case in conservative families. Even Surya's dad, an actor himself, rejected Jo because of this reason ( also she wasn't Tamil ) so she gave up acting after marriage. Surya appave ivvalo yosikumbodhu D amma yosikamatangala ?? Surya managed to convince his parents but will D do that ?? I don't know.

Yes ! Some directors have to have more than one heroine in their films. I guess the reason Hari roped in Sruthi Hassan is mainly for glamour and some action sequences maybe because from what we know in this part S will be shown as wife of Singam and usually wife characters will not be shown in a sexy way unless it's a duet or dream song. When they are portrayed as lovers they are allowed to expose but once they become wives they'll be clad in sarees or salwars. This is Indian cinema.

Once an actress is married her value goes down if she's called again its only to act as mother or sister to heroes or wife of the older hero if it's a double/ triple acting script whereas actors even if they are grandfathers in real life get to romance heroines of their daughters age on screen. Now the trend is changing but there is still a long way to go.

An example I want to share, I came across a comment that criticised S stating she looked like an aunty to D and that Tammy or Kajal were the perfect match for him. I was like, excuse me D is not a 16 year old guy he's also crossed 35 how is that he's not uncle but S is aunty?? See their double standards.
