Talk about logic and intellect in decoding movies like HNY, Dilwala, JTHJ, KKHH, KANK KGGK etc.. So much of brainers required man 😃😆

Before Multiplex came in 2003, there was

SINGLE SCREENS::: This is a theatre where 4 shows runs in a day. 12 -3, 3 - 6, 6 - 9, 9 -12 .Ticket price is ranging from Rs.25 - 75 -100/-. Everybody use to go to these SINGLE SCREENS only. Be it CLASS / MASS / LOWER CLASS / HIGHER CLASS, Every single person who enjoy cinema use to visit these theatres.

There is 3 section in SS for audience - LOWERSTALL, UPPERSTALL & BALCONY. Tickest also vary as per these section, lower for LOWERSTALL & Highest for BALCONY. 2 Floors are setup inside hall, one below is - UPPERSTALL & LOWERSTALL. 1st Floor is known as BALCONY.

Because Lower stall ticket prices are very low, in fact lowest all over, masses or ppl earning in low income group buy those tickets majority wise. But it was not mandatory for them 2 buy that only. They can buy any ticket, even Balcony if they want, which they are capable of.

Ppl who can't get BALCONY Tickets in huge rush use to buy even these LOWERSTALL Tickets coz film dekhni hoti thi...

SINGLE SCREENS Power is this much that a film like HAHK has 7.39 Cr FOOTFALLS (TICKETS SOLD) during it's 60-70 Weeks on cinema halls. This is highest number of people visited in INDIA for any film, ALL TIME RECORD.

Year 2003 - MULTIPLEX ARRIVED

It is nothing but GLAMOURUS VERSION of SS, having TICKET PRICE DOUBLE, Nice Designer HALL with Up to the mark AUDIO / VIDEO Projections, latest DIGITAL Quality. Having a capacity to run almost 50 Shows in a Day, some even go to 60 shows.

So you can buy tickets anytime u want, u don't have to come at particular 4 shows time of SS.

Usually those TICKETS are costly, so a general viewpoint is formed that those SS Mass audience which buys LOWERSTALL Tickets don't come to PLEXES, which i STRONGLY Believe is just Media generated Image.

CINEMA LOVERS will go to any CINEMA, phir chahe PLEX ho ya SS.

its so wrong how people stereotype things and biased imo,,you cant say multiplexes only certain groups go and single screens only massy uneducated etc go..also its insulting way to label people as people are human beings im glad and happy to see that hes liked by the aam janta ( people in general no matter what there socioeconomic class one is..as a actors job is to engage and entertain the overall audience!!

No single film in Indian Cinema EVER is HIT forget BIGGEST HIT just on the basis of doing busines in MULTIPLEX CLASS AUDIENCE (PSEUDO INTELLECTUALS)...

Every single HIT or BIG HIT has SINGLE SCREEN CONTRIBUTION, whoever is BIGGEST STAR is coz of SS Audience large contribution all over, if they won't watch our hindi films, we won't be having any 100, 200, 300 cr clubs, we will be having 10, 20, 30 cr clubs that too in rarity.
