I like your optimism , Yes he will be back but will there be a place for him in the current pecking order?

Lol. This forum mostly runs on bandwagoning. If MJD doesn't do well, yes it will be a huge setback but how does that mean Hrithik never had any talent to begin with? So he came this long, developed a huge fan base, made people visit theaters, created a craze factor for himself just like that? MJD is awaited because people love watching him on screen and look forward to his movies. And which actor doesn't go through a rough patch? Doesn't mean they are over. He is still one of the top actors of Bollywood. And yes, he is a good actor. That is what people believe. Moreover, this forum can't differentiate between off screen persona and on screen work/ talent.

Let us not generalize it as "this forum" ..If you carefully read over this thread, there are many who have staunchly professed their faith in Hrithik..

If your response is to my post, I do not recall having said that he did not have talents or fanbase.. What I have said is that MJD doesn't cut the tape when compared to Rustom plus his image has taken a battering of late and he is aging (not well) - will it impact his career ( that was the Q)

MJD is trolled and quite rightly too. I agree actors go through rough patch, in fact HR himself went through a rough patch and came back stronger with Dhoom series BUT that was then, now he has Varun dhawan, ranveer, tiger, harshvardhan, breathing down his neck, his emergence from rough patch may not land him in the same position of strength.

I think we need to hold our horses. HR hasnt deleivered much flops after 2003 barring Kites and Guzaarish. Out of these even Guzaarish was critically acclaimed. MJ hasnt released yet so lets wait and watch.

As for him not working witu A listers tell me who is working with them? SRKs next casts a newbie for bw, Mahira. Even Salman fans hv been shouting that Anushka is the best heroine he has got in his last few films. This problem is not with heroes, the A lister actresses no longer want to work in hero driven films.

Having said that I do agree that its high time HR needs to change the kind of scripts he choses. Period dramas and action flicks are already done a lot by him. He needs to chose meatier, more realistic roles. And this transformation in choice might be preceeded by a setback. I am sure its his time to evolve, he just needs to realize that.

Since last couple of weeks Hrithik is suddenly a talentless hack..so yeah..I'll say what I see. Don't really care about hurting the forum's sentiments for I know how it works.

I didn't like MJD trailer. Don't care about it either. It's already a joke around me.

Coming to actors like Ranveer, Tiger etc...they are on a hit streak so are hot property now. But if we see the trend in movies in general..nobody is always on top..they will always see lows but eventually it is their talent and fan base which helps them recover and survive. His market value might take a hit but there will still be scripts written for him. He might have to reevaluate choices or not..I don't know. He and his team will do a better job sensing the pulse of his target audience. Choose scripts accordingly to please them.. I can't comment much about these things.

BUT you see when you have seen Ashutosh, Hrithik's previous collab, one has a high expectation & this movie gives the vibe of 1950-60 socialist "Saathi Haath batana" era & singularly fails to connect with ppl overall

True. Bang Bang was a disaster but still it earned 300 crores while Agneepath earned less despite the trailer not being nice and it being a remake. Krrish 3 was another disaster compared to the sequel but it still did well and hence I highly doubt that MD would flop. I myself don't think I'll watch it but I trust Ashutosh that he'll deliver a decent story like his earlier movies but if the movie doesn't work out, it'll be a huge loss for the entire team as they spent over 2 years for the movie. I just hope that people are still curios to watch it and it becomes a hit. 😊

I think he's struggling to find his space and what works for him. His problem is he desperately needs universal acceptance. He needs to realize what his strengths and weaknesses are and work them to his benefit not to his detriment. Anyway, Hrithik will never fade into oblivion. Most fairly successful male stars never do in BW unless they start doing what Rajesh Khanna did...do Z grade flicks.😆

Yeah Wafaa or something in the mid 2000s. It was gross. I don't understand how and why Twinkle allowed him, she is so classy.😆
