Heard the rave reviews of Alia so decided I had to see it on the big screen.

It was so amazing.

Great acting. Great story and direction. Editing and cinematography very good,

Music is used very well throughout the film.

I was watching with my sis so was a little awkward when they were talking about c***! But oh well...!

Alia Bhatt was outstanding. So sorry for Sonam Kapoor, I thought she had it in the bag. When I first saw the trailer, Aloo's accent didn't quite work for me. But in the film it does. This is even better than Highway. So incredible.

Shahid was excellent. Hard part to play, he nailed it.

Diljit is so adorable. Loved every second he was on screen. He's a star.

Kareena Kapoor made the most of her small role. She was pure perfection and made a strong impact. Playing an every-day sort of character is the hardest thing to do. And a legend like her makes it look easy. She's in a league with Nutan, Sridevi, Madhuri, Kajol and not many others. Pleasure to see her on big screen after 3 years.

I might be seeing it again in a few days with my bestie!

Watched the movie last night and have to admit it is nothing short of mind-blowing. The best movie so far in 2016. Alia has given career best performance...honestly at her age, I never expected such nuanced performance from her. The experienced actresses really need to take some inspiration from this girl...love the bravery with which she opted for this character. Diljit is really endearing, almost effortless and so likeable and Kareena is beautifully natural. LOVED all the scenes between Diljit and Kareena's characters. Shahid I felt somewhere fell short in front of these three...I dont know if its due to his less screen time or his character not being as evolved as the rest three but still. Acting wise Shahid was spot on. But most of all I felt its the script and direction, its like the movie keeps you so engaged that you wanna know what happens next. How I wished the censor hadnt leaked it online...feels sad to know that a movie which deserved a lot of recognition is not getting its due. And honestly I didnt feel any need for 41 cuts in the movie...I mean I dont know then what would be left. The cuss language too somehow seemed insignificant in front of the power of the script.

When news of this movie and what it's gonna be about first came out I was so excited. It's a topic which hits quite close to him since I've had a young cousin back home in Punjab who lost his life due to his abuse of drugs, resulting in his entire family suffering in the aftermath of his decisions and choices. So it makes me so happy to see this movie's doing so well. I'm not naive enough to think it's gonna suddenly make a world of a difference, but if it can sow the seed of realization in a person, if even a single life changes for the better taking home the message from the film, I'd count that as a win.

Can someone make Alia/Shahid hiding scene avis?
