This movie was released in mid june 1970. i watched this movie in childhood i was may be 13 year old didn't remember much except 2 scenes that of koi jab tumhara hriday todd dey cause it was told in trivia that there was holidays in the oxford so Film maker Manoj kumar got permission to shoot and last scene pre climax where Saira Banu character drops liquor. like everyone i used to feel its anti west. but i watched this movie and now i feel its top 10 movie of world. i was impressed by the foreign outdoors . i feel they are best even today. after watching again and again i realised that it is not Anti West. its more or less equal take on both. Foreign girl sacrificing her love when she is requested by Indians. she sacrifices and even dances happily and hides her emotion. even goes to see off the family at airport. and when the indian not knowing English says meri mem beti tera desi baap kis bhasha mein tera dhynvaad karey. and bharat wants to translate he is stopped . christana. brit girl says she has understood by the eyes , tears , human beings always understand the language of humanity. song picturisation was out of the world whether ISCKON devotees singing on London streets or singing in ground. Eiffel tower scene was awesome. i felt it is best in the world. the introduction scene of Paschim west is world best. the outdoors are world best and i think Manoj ji deserved Oscar for it ! i am shocked he didn't send his movie to Oscar. i love outdoors of India too. they covered all all India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. its magical kitsch mystery of East and West. also indian dressing has been questioned in purva suhani aayi ray indian girl gopi is dancing with difficulty cause of saree but Saira Banu character dancing with ease. the best part of movies is Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram cute british children , thames River and Royal British yodelling. i have developed a habit of singing bhajans in british accent. acc to me England has been best shot most beautiful in the movie. i love this movie in my TOP 3. Gurinder chadha is a big fan of this movie. me too. it was released in Spain too was hit there. the most lovely part is Hipppies smiling. never saw smiling hippies. always saw them in negative light. and i saw extremely cute british children in the movie Smiling. hai. the irony is no outdoors were shown if this movie in manoj kumar video in national award ceremony. my rating for this movie is10.😛⭐️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=971z1LF8WfQ . sharing a link for one of its song. who ever watches this movie becomes a Manoj kumar Fan.👏
