NO amount of defense can save Salman from the public backlash. Sachin Tendulkar has achieved far more and has made India proud, so he being ambassador for Sports makes sense. Had they made Milkha or Sachin as ambassadors for Oscars or French film festival then Salman can question 😆😆 and say hey why not me!😆

Its natural to ques Salman's contribution to a SPORTS event, the biggest and most prestigious in the world. Definitely fingers will be pointed.

And how so much the EGO of Bhai or his fans is hurt, SACHIN is and has FAR higher fan following than Salman. Salman should have kept his mouth SHUT and not invited the wrath of ALL INDIANS who are proud of Sachin.

Sachin is a Bharat Ratna while Salman doesn't even have a Padma shri(it's not given to those who have criminal cases).That's the difference.The former is a gentleman,revered in his field and the latter you know it better.

Disclaimer:The fans who report every silly thing and get butthurt.The word criminal cases are facts which even Salman can't get away with.So Mods you can't send me love letters for writing facts here.

Nope they wont say anything to Sallu...his mom is a Marathi Hindu so Thackeray, MNS, all are on his side. Also Reshma and Salim will try to kill this news as fast as they can...but I wonder how Sachin's millions of fans will react to this comment that he "only played one sport" 😆

The problem is that he has taken on Maharashtra's icon i.e Sachin. MNS etc won't shut up because of some Marathi homemaker but due to the influence Salim Khan has built up with the RSS and offshoot parties. If they keep quiet now, it shows Raj Thackeray is just a spineless hypocrite.

@Bold: And that is the worst part of all this controversy and why it was so horrible to appoint Sallu to this post.

The whole attention will be diverted from the actual athletes and sportspersons participating in the Rio Olympics just like those athletes who didnt get to practice because Sallu was shooting in that Delhi stadium. 🤢

So while the real athletes suffer and get neglected, this arrogant guy will use these controversies as publicity for his film and the IOC just helped him do that.
