Dont know why Salman would drop Arijits song in Sultan-Amit Trivedi

It has now been confirmed that playback singer Arijit Singh's voice won't be featured anymore in Sultan courtesy Salman Khan. The superstar, who is not on good terms with Arijit, asked the makers of the film to drop the song sung by the singer. A disappointed Arijit later took to Facebook and pleaded with Salman to retain the song but to no avail.

Coming out in support of Arijit was composer Amit Tridevi. Talking to Indian Express.com, the Udta Punjab composer said, "I don't know why that happened. I don't know why Salman would do that. I have no idea. He is known to be a generous guy. I don't think he will remember or keep grudges in his mind for something that happened two years ago."

While Arijit has Amit's sympathies in this case, the composer says the music director seldom has the final say in matters relating to retaining a particular singer's voice in the film. "These things keep happening. Keeping a singers voice is not the music director's ultimate call. There are many people involved whose money rides on the film. It's their call ultimately," said Amit.
