LOL this has accelerated into people calling for Akbar road to be re-named after MaharanaPratap ( there actually exists places with that name too). Jeez, idiots .

There is a big Agusta scam and our current GOI is silent on it even though UPA(majorly) and another NDA Govt seem to be involved in it. But we will have party spokespersons firing it on twitter over this useless debate.

its just plain politics. clealy this is done to derive the political mileage. this supports the monarchy not democracy. chalo phir bhi i can understand schemes named after one family as congress was the single major party that ruled for the most part of modern indian history and they have a habit of naming things on their own family. but why iim? iim shilong named as rajiv gandhi iim. why the national and international sports tournaments? why?

It was soldiers who sacrificed their lives in 26/11 but sea link was named after this Rajeev ... Kiyun Bhai ? Why not Tukaram omble ?

And then there's Congress which redefines sycophancy and toadyism .
Agree with Rishi Kapoor here.Gandhi's do not deserve to have anything named after them.
