The actor we may know - Amitabh Bachchan, He has more variety of roles of recent. Post Agneepath he went on to doing more serious/acclaimed roles like Agneepath, Mohabbatein, Baghban, Aankhein, Cheeni Kum, Paa, Black and Piku. That's post his stardom.

As for bigger star. Salman achieved more in his prime time. 3 ATBB, 8 BB. 9 annual top grossers. His prime time has lasted longer too. And can remain longer as leading contemporary hero than Big B di whose stardom started just around release of Anand and finished with Coolie and then gained Hum 6 years after and then never had that rise again.

Salman's stardom started in 89 with MPK and it 2016 now. Yeah he had lil down phase in 2008 - 09 times but even his flops had decent openings.

Though Big B may be called bigger star for all he has achieved. Including those awards repetitively given to him like star of millennium, gazillion lifetime achievement awards and ironically all these lead to cement his name as a bigger star
