From movies to actors to singers if u notice we have promoted the mediocre things ...are we compromising on the real talent ... i have not seen any worth watching film in recent years with repeat values infact our film standard have become more western even legends like khans have not done quality work in this recent past, now on actors tigor shorf is getting more work than aditya its strange 😃 musically also bollywood is on decline phase hardly any song made in recent past that would be remembered as timeless classics and the singers bollywood was promoting is no more at work like mediocre atif aslam he instantly become a superstar despite of having so so many great singers begging for work which mean a trained singer will no more get work in film industry and any xyz will get a chance because the songs today are being made dont require a skillful trained voice but a different voice ..similarly mohit chahaun who had different voice but he wasnt a sureela singer he got famous and faded out , mika singh the household name of 2011 and so on , yo yo honey singh is the highest paid artist of bollywood yet i guess yo yo now is fading out ,these days its arijit singh he is a talented singer but not as talented as many of his contemprory who are not getting work like muhammad irfan, rahul vadiya , abhijeet sawant , vinit...arent we doing injustice to the artist who work hard do reyazaat for hours yet dying of poverty i can take names so many talented singers like abhijeet sawant , rahul vaidya from pakistan ahmed jahanzeb, nabeel shaukat ali ( classy singers with khatarnaak gayeki didnt got their due)

Dude
It's all subjective matter.

You may refer Arijit as mediocre but he is the best male singer the country currently has if we go by amount of chartbusters he delivers, awards/nominations he get and being music directors fav male artist.

I do agree that Mohd Irfan and even Javed Ali are very underrated.

As far I know is you dislike Arijit due to the comparisons with Sonu and how he gets so many songs you wish your fav could have done

Yes. I agree.
Its not only about movies and music. The television too has seen this effect. I am not from India but I have seen old Indian shows like Shararat or Malgudi days. These shows made so much sense and were fun. Now, they have been replaced by Simar, Gopi and Nagin! Like what the hell! Every other show features romance. Romance has become so common that it has become regressive! I hate the fact that we are not ready to explore other genres. Even if they do, its the same supernatural crap which features the same stories about love triangles.

Even in pair common lives, the quality and integrity of lifestyle has been deteriorated for the sake of money and materialistic pleasures.

But I am sure things will change for good.

chartbasters is no certificate of being a great one ... honey singh have deleverd many chartbasters with 1000 million views so what where is the quality . there is difference between quality work and hit thing with youtube views etc...arijit is also dull performer on stage , arijit dont follow the basic singing style he is more of atif aslam thing ...and yeah i really dont wish of my fav getting those songs 😃 as Sonu Nigam/Udit Narayan have done legendary work in their time even if they never sing their songs will be remembered as long as bollywood stays as they seen the peak when bollywood was producing classic songs with traditional sound, Sonu though still get quality songs like recent Dard from sarbajit , tu hi na jane from azhar or Sapna jahan dastak na de from brothers , bhagwan hai kahan re tu from PK , he have a romantic upcomming song in Raees its not about the song its about who he render the song he and the old singer will always be superior to young singers because they follow rafi sahab techniques ...i am concern with the new age artists ...arijit singh sounds monotonous in most of his so called chartbaster songs he will be forgotten as soon as someone else replace him
