Dp had 14 hits if your including blockbuster hit, hits, semi hits together. She had 8 flops and most of the flops she had was her early days. She had flop with tamasha but two hits last year

anyways The current someone whose far ahead is dp, no matter in the past if kat had more hits

fitoor cannot be an answer for tamasha

a) tamasha was a flop with close to 70cr collections...fitoor was a DISASTER with mere 18 crore collections on a budget of 60

b) deepika was praised heavily for tamasha and her absence in 2nd half as a reason cited for its not performing at par...katrina was as always heavily criticized

tamasha will always be a plus in deepika's career and filmography where as fitoor was the final nail in coffin for katrina

I never care DP has less hits than Katrina.

Honestly, I love both. But I love DP more because she still want to be friendly with Katrina (after whatever happened between them), even with Sonam who constantly take on granted of her kindness.

She fake on it or not, that not my problem because the most important thing, she still keep her polite attitude toward anyone who always brought her down.

true and katrina's snobby nature is an open secret now..she is not as kind and polite as she looks like or tries to be

Is this a media perception for tagging these stars as superior or talentless? What say?

What kind of rubbish is this? Every single thread I see on Deepika, Katrina is mentioned. Same thing goes with Katrina? Why can't both of them be successful in their own way? Why is it that us women (and men included) feel the need to compare women on the basis of their success graph? IS IT SO HARD TO APPRECIATE THESE TWO ACTRESSES WITH THEIR OWN SET OF WEAKNESSES AND STRENGTHS?!

Having said that...

Katrina has been in the industry longer and having Salman Khan on her team helps whereas Deepika debuted in a Shahrukh film. Now I don't know if Deepika has a mentor like Katrina has with Kabir or Salman.

As to asnwer your question, neither are superior or inferior with one each other regardless of how many successes they have. Deepika and Katrina have two very sets of strengths and weaknesses. One is really good at acting while the other is good at dancing. One is mediocre at dancing while the other is perceived as expressionless (which I highly disagree but I see where y'all are coming from). I coild go on but let's just use these as examples. Each of those sets of strengths and weaknesses defines who they are as a professional and it's what shapes their career. Look at their career paths. Deepika's fame rose with Cocktail while Katrina's fame rose with Sheila Ki Jawani. Each of their defining moments has set a lot of stones for what their careers would be and what they would be known for.

So it is logical that media would label this whole superiority and inferiority complex considering Bollywood is famous for both dancing and acting (and a lot of overacting) only putting acting above than dancing.

But again, that's just me talking.
