Both shouldn't try for it- IF THEY GET IT, it would be an overkill! Both in their debuts, PC in Quantico & DP in XXX are the action heroines! Bond girl would kick a little ass too- they'd be steorotyped!
I haven't watched the movies either, but I've heard that yeah they are. I think it's just the type of role that would give a lot of exposure though. Not much scope in the actual role, but the potential exposure could be a reason both are in the race for the role.
I think both PC and DP have a lot more to offer as actors and chasing flowerpot roles is an injustice to both of them. But if either of them does get the role, it will still be a treat to watch.
