Hardest question if u are a fan or someone from 90s or just basically has travelled the 24 years of his musical journey. I love his south renditions more though he has given some great hindi albums as well. This song and whole album is gold and matter of fact highly regarded as his best work till date and it also achieved as much popularity eventhough it came right after his stunning debut in Roja. This is the pick of the album for me mainly because of the soulful rendition by the late Shahul Hameed. And apparently it was just singing and humming with no musical instrumetal involved.

From the polls I chose Dil Se. Not only was the music top notch, it also helped that it was picturised tastefully by MR and had in-context-of-film lyrics by Gulzar.

That said, Im a huge fan of almost all his albums till date. Despite not being in his creative best right now, his work will remain to be greatest of all times. The best part of his songs are they grow on you and the song u dislike now would end up being the one you would hum continously in future. Magic man indeed. <3

Rehman and Mani Ratnam r awesome combo...Some of Rehman's best music was in MR's film...

Even though in the pole I chose Dil Se as Chaiya Chaiya is one of my favourite songs & so is the entire album.
