Actually the Sumans have many times said pretty much the same things which AS has said in his interview. The black magic thing is a new twist though. Also Shekhar Suma wished her well in the past too.
Were you against Adhyayan dating Kangana?
Yes, he did have a relationship with her. That was 2009-10, when he was going through a troubled time. I was concerned as a father as he was going astray and had started changing for the worse. He would back-answer Alka, would stay out all night partying and that bothered me. He was far too young and did not know what he was doing. It was obviously an infatuation and not love. I did not want him to lose focus in his career. He would not listen to us. Alka is more emotional and was very possessive about him and would make my life miserable versus him. One of the directors he had worked with, called me and said, 'Shekhar, save your son.' But later after breaking up, he realised that he was wrong. He would shut his room, look at the ceiling and just cry for months like a kid. I know that he was crying not just for what he had done but for the fact that he did not listen to us. He realised that we meant well for him and said sorry and he accepted how he was completely wrong. I am a firm believer in God. Careers can be built but once your life is spoilt, you may not be able to return.

Affair with Kangna affected my career: Adhyayan

Remember the Kangna Ranaut-Adhyayan Suman affair? Although the couple went their separate ways in 2009, the actor wishes he had made headlines for the right reasons. "At the start of my career, I didn't want my relationship with Kangna to create news for me," he says.
So does Adhyayan think his career would have been on a different path minus his affair with Kangna? "I think so," he says. "Every actor prefers to talk and be know for their work, rather than who we are seeing. This isn't what we are here for."
The Raaz: The Mystery Continues actor feels a lot of stories about Kangna and him also came out because they had the same publicist. "So, a lot of articles came from Kangna's side," he says, quickly adding: "Actually, stories came from both our sides. As a result, more than my work, stories and rumours about Kangna and me got prominence."
Adhyayan, who shared screen space with Kangna in Raaz 2, feels "people stop taking you seriously" because of such reports. "Looking back, I could have changed a lot of things. But now, relationships can take a backseat in my life," he adds.
Interestingly, Adhyayan, son of actor Shekhar Suman, was last seen in the 2009 film Jashnn. "The film didn't do very well. And although my performance was appreciated, I didn't sign any new film because I wasn't getting good scripts." For now, Adhyayan is confident about making a fresh start. "I've started meeting people again. Be it a Yash Raj Films' production or Karan Johar's film, I am looking for good scripts to be a part of," he signs off. The actor is busy with three films"Vishal Varma's The Outsider, his father's directorial debut, Heartbeat and Dekh Bhai Dekh's film remake.
Shekhar Suman tells why his son will never date Kangana Ranaut again

Shekhar Suman who is currently judging a reality show, did not mince words when we asked him about his son Adhyayan's career and why he would not want actress Kangana Ranaut back in Adhyayan's life.
He said, "I am not happy with Adhyayan's career but would be eager to see him do better. He is not doing well but if he does well some day there might be some jokers who would come out and say, 'Didn't we say, he had it in him to make it big?"
While son Adhyayan was allegedly in a relationship with actress Kangana Ranaut some years back, Shekhar is clear that even if the actress has become a box-office star, he would not let his son make the same mistake twice.

Kangana Ranaut, who has moved on after her break-up with Adhyayan Suman, is miffed with the recent Bollywood rumours of her link up with Puri Jagannath, director of a South film in which she stars. Kangana Ranaut says, "I should free myself from my last experience. I need to be ready to fall in love again, which I am not yet. Why can't people imagine somebody single for sometime at least? It's only been a month that Adhyayan Suman and I parted ways. Frankly, I don't intend to date anybody for a year. Can people stop linking me up with random people? Have I no emotions?"
Despite having broken up with Adhyayan Suman, Kangana Ranaut says she has fond memories of their relationship. "I have had a bad relationship (read Aditya Pancholi) and I have also had a good relationship. If it's a bad relationship, you end up being shattered. If it's a great relationship like Adhyayan and I had, I can't have any bad memories. Adhyayan helped me come out of my previous relationship and experiences."
The parting was not ugly. When the break up happened, Bollywood couple, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman had a talk. "We respect each other far too much to insult each other. Yes, I was shocked at first. Adhyayan doesn't want to be in a relationship at this point of time. I thought it was a nightmare but on second thoughts, I understand. I too dissuade my younger brother from being in a relationship at his age," adds Kangana Ranaut.
Was the break-up initiated by Adhyayan Suman's father, Shekhar Suman? "I wouldn't like to comment on that," she says. Today, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman are not in touch. Kangana Ranaut says, "I am not a switch-on, switch-off kind of person. I need to give myself some time before we start talking again. After the break-up, we spoke just once and things felt better. After that, we haven't spoken at all."
After coming back from Switzerland, Kangana Ranaut is now headed for Durban where she will shoot for Anees Bazmee's movie, No Problem. Kangana Ranaut says, "Right now, I am too busy doing a workshop for Anees Bazmee's film No Problem where I play a dumb girl who thinks that she is the sexiest girl on earth. Every day, I practice for an hour at home."
