Sidharth malhotra excited for ittefaq REMAKE

Sidharth Malhotra is riding high on the success of his recent hit, 'Kapoor And Sons' and he has already started shooting for his next film, to be directed by Raj and Krishna DK. Besides this, Sidharth has also signed the remake to Rajesh Khanna starrer 1969 classic, 'Ittefaq' where he will be seen opposite the 'Dabangg' girl Sonakshi Sinha.

Sidharth seems very exciting for this movie which he depicts as an outstanding murder mystery. Talking about the project, he said, "I recently found a very interesting murder mystery with a credible cast and big production house. It's the old Yash Chopra film, Ittefaq . It's a great film but also a small one. The writing is outstanding and I don't remember having watched a murder mystery like this in the last five years, where you think murderer kaun hai ?'"

Ittefaq remake will be jointly produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. Late doyen B.R. Chopra's grandson Abhay Chopra will direct the remake. The shooting for the movie will begin once Sidharth completes his current commitment.

Fourth film for Sidharth-Alia?

Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt are all set to act opposite each other again, post Kapoor & Sons. The film, directed by Abhay Chopra, is said to be a remake of the murder mystery thriller Ittefaq (1969) and a joint production of Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan. The psychological thriller Sid and Alia will play antagonists in the film and not romance each other. The couple has only been seen in romantic films earlier two films and in their next is Aashiqui 3 too is a romantic saga. They will start shooting for the Ittefaq remake once their finish their current commitments.

Sonakshi will definitely be a part of this film I feel.

The original film had 2 important female roles..Sona is playing Nanda's character and Alia I guess might be doing Bindu's character. (since her presence is being published in articles)
