Shahid & Ranveer to Be the Next Ram-Lakhan,

Since the news of the remake of Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor starrer Ram Lakhan has been announced, there have been speculations about the cast of the film. Names like Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh were doing rounds for Lakhan's role, whereas Ranbir Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Sidharth Malhotra were said to be considered for Ram's part.

But if reports are to be believed, the new cast for the film's remake is finally in place!

As per a popular daily, Shahid will be seen as Ram, while Ranveer will be seen as Lakhan in the remake of Subhash Ghai's 80s superhit film. Even last year Anil Kapoor, who played Lakhan in the original flick had said that Ranveer was perfect for the role. As for Ram's character, makers believe that Shahid fits the bill. The film directed by Rohit Shetty is likely to go on floors by the end of the year once the casting is in place.

Currently, Ranveer is shooting for Aditya Chopra's Befikre opposite Vaani Kapoor. On the other hand, Shahid is gearing up for the release of Udta Punjab starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt. He will also be seen in Rangoon with Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.

There are no confirmations from the actors end yet.
