The era of ranks and numbers is over. Yes even the domestic audience has matured and they go to watch films now not for reigning superstars but the quality of the film itself. This is the transition period but the changeover is there for all to see with movies like Dum Laga ke Haisa and now Nil Battey Sannata drawing audience to the theatres .

We need not despair as this will undoubtedly improve the quality of entertainment on our movie screens.This may also inspire the superstars and super producers to move in the right direction.We may see SRK,Salman as well as the female actors like Kareena & Katrina..also KJo,YRF try to make the correct choices for entertaining their fans..To be fair I think SRK has tried to do this with Fan.The pundits may declare the film a flop but then again many have liked it too.Maybe we do not need to have every film judged by the rule of 100 crores ! Maybe we should switch over to small budget films so they will make profit even if they do not cross the 100 crore barrier eg an extremely mediocre film like HS3 being declared a BO success.
This may further reduce the angst the public is being subjected to with the recent ludicrous spate of promoting films via tv shows ,in colleges, malls and anywhere and everywhere!. this adds to the budget of the film and no doubt contributes to it being declared a flop and the audience instead of being attracted to watch the film run in the opposite direction as so much exposure makes them feel they have already seen the film.

So SRK will be fine as he is no doubt a super entertainer...he just needs to move with the times. Give the audience what they want instead of forcing unpalatable entertainment down their throats using weird publicity methods not used anywhere else in the world.

Arjun Rampal has still bright chances. What about Vivek Obereo or Aftab Shivdsani? 😆

When everyone's movie is making 100 cr. THE KING KHAN failed to make a movie to that window even after commercializing the real good concept by adding stupid action and drama 🤢.. Bang Bang did better than that despite being horribly bad too..

And then we have Dilwale losing to BM..

But if I am wrong and he goes down as a BO star but still does content driven movies and take risks, I am absolutely fine with it. In fact I would prefer it since for some years honestly I have seen the producer more than the actor. But I absolutely saw the actor back a bit in Dilwale and even so in Fan. I cannot imagine SRK quitting ever. I will always enjoy him as an actor. But if he has a career like BigB in his later years I cannot ask for better from him.
