But he could see his family being damned for the rest of their lives...That was a very bad decision...

OMG! How could I not mention Anand and RDB?! Blasphemy, almost.
Anyway. Love these two endings to bits and the dialogues that follow the death of protagonists in both cases. ❤️

Anand mara nahi, anand marte nahi.

Anand surprisingly did not feel like a sad ending...The guy filled so much life into everyone that he became indestructible by the end of the movie...His death seemed like just another event while he continued to live on...Indeed Anand marte nahi !

Completely agree. That's probably the reason why it didn't strike me instantly. Despite the fact that Anand was going to die, it never gets tragic. The dialogues, songs and scenes spread so much joy and positivity to the viewer. This movie is really inspiring and beautiful. A masterpiece.

Rang De Basanti. The most perfect.
Last laugh of DJ and Karan. Rubaroo song. Proud feeling. It feels you with the spirit. I love it so much.

Similar but yet more powerful. Shahid Bhagat Singh. (One with Ajay Devgan)
I watched it yesterday. And when song comes, Mera rang de basanti chola.. maaye rang de. I was crying. It was very emotional. Yet the confident Smile on face of all 3 when they are hanged. Bhagat Singh would always be my Favorite Freedom Fighter. At the same time, I was sad for their sacrifice & what politicians have done to the country where so many young died haste haste to get us freedom.

Kabhi ha Kabhi naa.
Aana should have ended up with Sunil. I hated the ending. Yet it was the right thing to do. Sunil kinda manipulated Aana & Chris so. Juhi's entry made it funny.

Bawarchi, Anand
Rajesh Khanna and Hrishi Da's best. Spreading Joy even without being there. 👏

None of these come close to the tragic ending of 'Raincoat'. Loosely based on O.Henry's short story, it's just PERFECT in every which way.
