With a phenomenal performance in Fan in two diverse roles, he has shown why he is at the top even 25 years later. Fan is his crowning glory. After a stint of films that wasn't upto his potential, he has given what his loyal fans have been waiting for, who have been with him through thick and thin. Fan is for his fans. It is for us, who have waited with patience and trust, knowing that he would take up something that would do justice to his acting talent and today, it has been proved.
Even though the script is not perfect, yes it has its flaws and loopholes, but the underlying message has struck a chord. There is this message that they wanted to show that one can be more than a fan. Being a fan is not wrong but being only a fan and letting that dictate your life is wrong. That was a wonderful message and the need of the hour. Gaurav is a character that is flawed. You understand and you relate to him fanboying over his idol but when that crosses a limit, that is when lines become blurred. This is the crux of the film and Shahrukh was PHENOMENAL! Gaurav as a character isn't that easy to play but when the viewer who relates to him, then feels sorry for him then suddenly at one point fears to what extent he would go, credits go to SRK for playing him so well. I as an SRK fan cannot be any happier ❤️
Apart from the mostly positive Critical reviews and WOM so far, we are celebrating because King Khan is back to his rightful place as a performer more than a star. His acting is what is being talked about. It is what has come to fore. Much more than his stardom or his superstar persona. King Khan has arrived with a bang and we as fans cannot be any prouder.
Shoutout to all the SRK fans out here and the closet ones as well😉😆 He did it guys!!!
