SRK and Salman have put in years of hard work to lower people's expectation to such a level that anything half decent is cheered immensely.
FAN has done well on Day 1 at the box office, but the response has been mixed at mass centres where the film opened well but couldn't sustain throughout the day.
As per early estimates, the first day collections will be in the 19 crore range, which would be the highest single day collections of 2016 - ahead of the third day collections of Airlift.
Friday was a holiday in parts of the country for Ram Navami, so the collections of Saturday would be crucial for the long term box office prospects of FAN. If the film shows growth, it would be a positive trend and the film will peak on Sunday.
Note: The above figures is an early estimate only. Due to the film getting a wide release, collections could vary. Actual box office collections for Day 1 will be published in the morning.

The opening credits of Fan which relive SRK'S stardom are goose bumpy on the big screen, in spite of having seen it before in the teaser.
Shahrukh shines in a mildly bizarre film. Give him more roles like Gaurav, but give him better scripts. Much better. #Fan
Fan Interval. Gaurav is fun & the Delhi scenes are lovely. Half baked writing in the Mumbai parts especially in a crucial turning point.
2nd half seems to be a regular problem in Maneesh's films 😆

Yes 😆 Aamir is a fool 😆 Anyways, glad this happened..I never really had high expectations from Fan..But given how the reviews turned out, i feel its gonna be even better for Raees atleast as far as his performance is concerned..I'd give 5 stars just for his dialogue delivery in the teaser given how most ppl in Bollywood have such pathetic voice modulation and dialogue delivery 😆
