I never understood people's logic.
Are Hindus & people of other religion not human beings??
Because of these extreme regulations only we have too much of violence, fights, bomb blasts on the name of religion.
If 2 people fall in love it is their life and their families who are involved.
What has the society to do with it.
Don't marry Hindu, don't marry Christian seriously too much.

Si really if they chose to ban Raajhannaa for this reason they should have banned PK too... ooor forbidden people of a certain age to see the movie if the fear is that it might influence people to do the same thing.

Voil. 😊

Yes.. but in PK, the lovestory wasn't the crux of the movie.. it did not have much focus or attention and so might have missed the banning😆 That being said, yes, it should have been banned... But that does not imply that Pakistan mein it is fine for Muslim guys to marry Hindu girls.. the rules are same for both girls and boys

Thats your belief.. For many Muslims, they would want to abide by their religion and their religion does not allow them to do certain things.. Islam does not allow the Hindu Muslim marriages and as Pakistan follows Islamic laws, they wouldn't allow anything that encourages that either

but why ban the movie.
there are other minorities also in pakistan
and other secular muslims .
who will love to see .
if you start banning stuff just because of religion.
country can never progress

Even the minorities should not be encouraged for this (strictly from religious pov).. If a Muslim girl or boy needs to know that they cannot marry Hindus, The Hindus need to know it as well... Pakistan has been created on religious ideologies.. the country is called Islamic Republic of Pakistan and so it is to be expected that laws on a large scale would be in accordance to Islam

TM was talking about banning films, where did extremism come from? If a country puts a ban on some kind of films that's will be in accordance to the norms and cultures of that society. Even though PK showed a Pakistani in good light but that that didn't change the fact that that guy was a Muslim marrying a Hindu, which is prohibited in Islam.
And Pakistani films are not released in India...despite the fact that a major chunk of Bollywood film business comes from across the border.

no one is saying that marry hindus

there should be laws who protect if one want to get married to other religion.

i dont any support any ban
if india bans the movie than also its wrong.
but the thing is bollywood movies are popular in pak
but no one cares about lollywood movies in india. except bol
so why will distributers buy lollywood movies when they will suffer huge loss.
Bol did release because eros was distributing it.

Thank you not to act as if muslims were the only one to marry within their religion.
Don't certain Hindous forbid their kid to marry outside their religion too like some Christians or Jewishs ?

There are extremists in every religions and most often than not they are the most vocal. Killing because of religion has always happened (be it the polytheists that killed Christians, Christians that killed each other during Crusades, Jewish that were killed during WW2, Muslims that are killed nowadays in Birmania by Buddhists, Muslims and Hindous killing each other...) Sadly that's how is Humanity.

It's a perfectly normal attitude imo to marry within its religion for the children eduction. What if one parent wants his kid to follow the same religion while the other want the child to follow another ? It'll be very complicated and the beliefs attached to the differents religions are differents. What if one of the parent believes that his child won't go to heaven because the child doesn't follow the same religion ?

Because Pakistan is a theological State which supports and nurtures Islamic extremist viewpoints, not to forget that it was founded on the basis of inter-community distrust and bloodshed.
So..

It is not opinion.. It is fact.. Islam does not allow this to happen.. Pakistan follows Islamic laws as their laws on a large scale and thus these things are not allowed
