The Daily Mail, a tabloid did not know Deepika's name or could identify her. This is not a US paper where BW folks are not known, this is a UK paper where BW has more of a presence. If a British tabloid could not recognize her, she is rather unknown in the west. But they know names of "sexy' HW actresses. What XXX could possibly do is give Deepika name and face recognition in the west in some way. No one is pretending this is an Oscar award role or even a "deep" one" and nothing wrong in doing sexy roles to try to break into a market.

Whats the need to look down on someone auditioning ?

There is nothing shameful about it. But to me it is baffling. She has been on an amazing run esp this year. She can have her pick of movies and paypacket. Why not at least sign 1-2 big films here.

Hollywood is a pretty racist place. Ask any latin american actor. breaking in is not easy by a long shot

I am actually admiring dp for going after her dreams. Even if she fails to make it big, she at least tried and I think that's a hero like trait⭐️ Good luck to her. A year without her feels so boring but I guess the articles and her admirers and haters are missing her too so too many articles will keep her in the news😳😆
