I really want to know the justification given by Akshay for accepting Canadian citizenship and renouncing his Indian citizenship especially when you have been going on and on about the greatness of your homeland.
Aamir was heavily criticised for just saying that he contemplated leaving India, Akshay has already in a sense left India, he is not an Indian national period. He may think and feel Indian but he is a Canadian.

@Flipflop - Alia and Imran weren't born in India so its understandable. Silly of me to bring this in but Deepika was born in Copenhagen yet is an Indian citizen, so it goes both ways. And this is in a sense a matter of love and pride according to me. My identity begins and ends as an Indian, call me a nationalist or whatever IDGAF, but unless there are some really unavoidable circumstances I will never ever give up my citizenship. So for Akki to do this and then give out this image of being a loyal, proud, patriotic, Indian citizen is abhorrent to me personally as he is a hypocrite of the highest order.

Personally, I would not judge anybody for their personal decision. There are some who got opportunities and settled abroad. There are some who have opportunities but choose to settle in India as they have more comfort in India. There are some who don't have opportunities, so settled in India. To each their own. But one category need not look down at other. As long as someone is not cheating Indian government (tax evasion like Vijay Mallya etc) nor painting a wrong image of India, I don't care about their personal life.

I don't feel disappointed by Akki, as I never kept him at high pedestal. His image was that of a cheater to me (pre marriage). So the fact does not shake me.

This thread/debate was never about why Akki is a canadian national or he is anti-national or why he never talked about it openly or why its useful for only HIM to have foreign nationality etc etc

I agree. ABCDs se hi toh chalta hai IF.

They are hardly 15 years old. And Feminazis. They think women in India lives in such a bad condition, while most of them hardly has even been to India once or twice. More over most of them have rosy life.

They are the most hilarious lot over here.

PS - NRIs ko ban kiya toh, I would have to leave too. But good coz anyways I am planning to leave. IF has started to suck so much. And opinions here are so dumb n mind boggling for the most part. No connection to reality whatsoever. Just that its a good time pass while at work. 😆😆

I wud say iam not a big fan of both of them I like their films n acting ,I got angry at srk when news came out but later I cud see this thing was going overstretched I don't find him anti national just he blabbered more than what was needed that too at wrong tym may be.it cud be his opinion but ppl reacted to it badly.
