why does not big stars work with kangna ?

Deepika has no movies right now, Alia is from the film industry and it's no secret that Dharma (KJo/Ayan's next) is supporting her. Which other movies does she have apart from Gauri Shinde's and Udta Punjab?

Also do not forget if she had given TWMR last year then she delivered katti batti too, shows that she is still not a star but an actress of luckily good directors.

And the failure of Katti Batti and Revolver Rani didn't make her star fade. She was critically acclaimed and the directing was blamed. If anything she was refered to as the saving grace for Katti Batti.

Do you sincerely think that had Deepika been Katti Batti, the movie would have faired better? No. Why? Because the movie wasn't good.

The actress can deliver but if the movie is shitty people might not want to sit through it. Tamasha didn't fare well despite the hype it generated. Of course, the movie was average to good (depending on people's opinion) but it wasn't to everyone's taste so the movie didn't fare well.

Kangna has 3 movies lined up as of now and in each of them she has a proeminent role. Be in Julia in Vishal's Rangoon, Simran in Hansal's Simran or Rani Lakhshi Bhai in Kehtan Rani of Jhansi.

Deepika has yet to do a movie were the movie is solely revolving around her. You might argue that she did Piku but she shared the screen living legend Amitabh Bachchan and critically acclaimed Irrfan Khan.

Let's see how a movie will fare when Deepika will be the only big name. I don't think that producers will put a lot of money on the budget as it would be a woman centric. That's how it seems to work.
