Haha...OMG...How many different colours is this topic taking? 😆

To the main issue first. Is there a chance than they could be using salt water for their rains in movies? 😆 That's not much of a loss then, desalinization of salt water to fresh water still has a long way to go.

By that logic a lot of stuff should not be used in movies coz of their scarcity in real world.

I agree with the trolls who mocked her for defaulting on her water bills. That is totally her fault.

And to the other issue, it is a fact that the so-called secular celebs have no guts to make remarks on every religion equally. They always go for the easy targets to appear intellectual and secular. Every religion has a mad group that gets offended and targets them n burn their effigies. So, why not be fair in ridicule and dish out same to all? Why fear backlash of one religion over other? is the answer so obvious? :)

Also, diwali, holi are easily pointed out because majority of population is Hindu. So obviously, these festivals have bigger environmental impacts due to the sheer number?

I agree with her partially...

Holi is NOT FESTIVAL OF WATER, its festival of colours! It can be celebrated by not using water or using it in minimum quantity!
Guys realize our nation has scarcity of water - SO RATHER THAN BLAMING OTHERS start making THOSE changes by yourself

Same goes for Diwali! NOT FESTIVAL of CRACKERS but festival of light... Amount of air pollution that it contributes is huge and people should really stop using those!

No one is saying to not celebrate... Obviously celebrate it, I do but we need to let go these old age traditions that are just harming our society and ENVIRONMENT! We need to stop thinking about OUR WANT and start thinking about NEEDS of OUR FUTURE GEN!

In that case, Eid was never meant to kill goats and one should rather stick to what was supposed to be done by Abraham.

There are so many customs which were not there when these things started. They evolved. The thing is whole year there is nothing about saving water, nothing on rain- harvesting but when Holi comes everyone is on save water thing. why? The festival comes ones in year and still people start their lecture on water issues. a person using bucket everyday for a month will save more water than what anyone is going to waste on Holi.
And there are so many practices in every religion which are not good and not there when it started.

Future Gen do care about environment. But these issues need full attention through out the year not once in a year specially when it's festival time.

Ek Holi pe pani bachane se kuch nahi hoga. It's rain harvesting, proper water management, sewage treatment, proper water transport infrastructure which is needed not the lecture on how to celebrate Holi.
