Why is a biopic made on a criminal??

Matlab why make a biopic on sanjay dutt kyu,will we make a biopic on chota shakeel and dawood also.I don't think he deserves a biopic and I won't be made if rajkumar hirani was not his friend.

Indians are blind fools when it comes to bollywood stars.Educated people bhi apni aanke and dimag bandh kar dete hain.Salman and Baba ko hi dekh lo.And directors/producers only cares for money.When general public is ready to accept criminals without any hesitation toh directors kyu sochega?

Dagwood based movies can portray him in dark colour. But Hirani cannot do that with Sanjay, who is his friend. If he tries to cover up, film will look fake. Hirani might face his first flop. For Ranbir, it's not new.

Sanjay Dutt is a very interesting person. It's no surprise that people would want to do a biopic on him. His parents were huge stars, his mother and his first wife died of cancer, he used to be an additict, he was involved (knowingly or not) in Bombay blast, he couldn't raise the daughter he had from his first marriage, he married thrice...

There is so much thing a director could focus on. Being able to capture on screen his state of mind during some of his hurdles could be really good.

Criminal's lives r more interesting than a normal sidha- sada insaan. Its nothing wrong making a biopic on them. BUT, it should be more like docu-drama where no justifications were given, just hardcore dramatization and thought provoking ending. Ppl r intersted to know if some1 is born criminal or nurtured that way by society and circumstances. Its a very good subject if dealt with honesty.

But, ppl like sanjay datt who r public figures, there is lot more already known and so ppl will watch it (or not) without giving 2 hoots abt what the film shows. No curiosity value.. just to see if what side of grey character of sanjay is being portrayed.

I am not interested in Dhoni biopic either. Let those ppl retire from their occupation and long enough time pass. Coz its very likely during the film shoot itself, something happens that can change the script or shelve the project altogether.

And Hirani has shown loving goonda Munnabhai already... so his intentions r questioned. May be he needs a flop.

Coz Manyata and Sanju are putting money in making this movie .

Probably, Raju Hirani is indebted to Sanjay and trying to return a favour.

Its not incredibly shocking to see a biopic on him though.
