Although I do really like his music, I wish he would start using other male singers with better voices and a wider range. He tends to sing many of his own songs but I don't feel his voice is powerful enough to match the kind of tunes he composes and it doesn't leave an impact. For example, I quite like listening to Pashmina but think that the song would have been in a different league had Amit picked a good singer for it.

I do agree , offlate some of his Songs have started sounding Repetitive But He is one Music Director whom composition are way ahead from the Mainstream Bollywood Songs ... He is way ahead of others , very much in space of Rahman...

I just wish he doesn't tries TOO Hard to make his Compositions sound different .

I really like his music.
I wouldn't say it's boring and doesn't work with masses. Ishaqzaade songs, Queen songs, Aisha songs, Iktara, Emotional Atyachaar became pretty famous. Even Shaam Shandaar/Gullabo caught up.
His music is nowadays repetitive, yes. But sadly when he does experiment like BV, it isn't mainstream enough to work.

Trivedi is unique because he I think is the only one atm who composes music for the film and not a standalone music album and that for me should be the biggest quality of a music director-to move the story forward through the song.

Take every song from Queen,Lootera or Udaan for example. Each song moving the story forward.

He has the best track record, pun unintended out of the recent music directors. Though Kashyap got the best out of him in DevD, BV was the blip in his otherwise impeccable run.

I think he's made to provide too many songs in a album sometimes, so some are likely to be lacklustre- Badra Bahar, London Thumakda, Harjayian were the highlight of Queen, Taake Jhanke et al (while perfectly ok) pale in comparison. Whilst all the songs in Kai Po Che are great- as they're only 3.

Same goes for ARR; Heer toh badi sad hain/Matargashti/Agar Tum Saath Ho/Wat Wat Wat together would have made a stellar album but the other songs in the album diminish the overall impact it could have created, also applies to Highway.

I think he shouldn't sign every other film at the risk of burning out.

Also got to say songs from his albums that get sidelined are often the best in the album- Yehi Meri Zindagi Hain/Dhol Yaara Dhol from DevD, Lehrein from Aisha, Gustakh Dil/Dhak Dhuk from EV, Zinda Hoon from Lootera.

He always cracks under the pressure for "Big films" . But does smaller film's music better . I think Sachin Jigar are underrated . They need some big films ⭐️

True. He rarely experiments with male vocals. And I don't think all of the songs suit him too. That's the only annoying thing about him. Other wise his music sense strikes a chord with me.. Different from the rest.
