During the trailer launch a reporter asked Alia about general knowledge without asking her a specific question and then went on to ask her a question about the film. Alia called him out on it and said he only mentioned GK so his question will get more attention in printed articles 😆. I think the above video for Savaan was probably something they came up at the last minute to make fun of that whole situation.

I'm so addicted to this song, matak matak jaise Raveena Tandon is my favorite, also Neha has nailed it. Watched the video countless time, Sid-Alia looks so cute. I really like how the whole song is shot in a house not in a night club. Choreography is amazing. 😆

Yes, Sony Music India's FB page has a video not connected to YouTube so their count is separate. They are already at over 600K plus YouTube's over 500K.

The more I watch the video the more addictive the beat is. The choreography is actually pretty cool too. I'm one of those minorities on IF who actually loves Sid and Alia's chemistry. I have since SOTY. But now it's a thousand times better because Alia has lost some of her baby face and both of them are more comfortable and natural together.

I would say yes. These numbers don't guarantee anything come box office time. But in this case at least it's showing that the song is being appreciated. Music of a movie does play a big part with final numbers. This is how I look at it anyway.

They do share nice chemistry, I dont mind them together. 😆

I want Alia to do her eyebrows, her eyebrows need cleaning, I think she will look more mature. 😆 She is really good in this song though. I just love the steps. 😆

Best Period For Small Films To Score

The next few weeks is the best period for small films to make an impact as like it is every year the big films stay away from late February till April. If a film can score on word of mouth it can do well in this period as screens can be held better due to no big releases.

Last year there was Dum Laga Ke Haisha and NH 10 which were successful. The year before, Queen even emerged a hit film. There are some bigger films like Kapoor & Sons, Rocky Handsome and Ki & Ka but all have had their trailers released and only Kapoor & Sons can be called average and even that is pushing it which leaves these films struggling for an initial as well.

This week will see the release of films like Direct Ishq, Ishq Forever, Loveshhuda, Neerja and Rhythm. Neerja has the most awareness so should lead the pack on day one but despite the highest promotional spend of the lot it is still likely to see very low audience counts in the morning and dependent on reports for some improvement in the evening in metros.

The main plus for Neerja will be a tight release which will keep the film within its target audience and give it a better chance of success.
