SRK and hritik rejected Sid's role bcz they didn't want to play second lead to Aamir
Shahid also rejected this role and till date he regrets doing so , he openly admits he regrets rejecting RDB

One of my all time fav!! Cant believe its been 10 years!! Its as if I just watched the film in theatre for the first time.. So many memories attached with the film.. My fav ensemble cast in a film ever!! Every single actor in the film nailed their parts amazingly.. Loved Sid and Maddy the most though(they were alr my fav actors).. Its also one of thw few films Aamir was bearable and probably the only good acting of Soha??.. And Mehra was extremely lucky he got ARR to take care of music.. What can I say other than it was magic beyond words.. Especially Lukka Chuppi.. I cried when this song came onscreen.. Damn Im all more tempted to go watch this materpiece again.. Thank u Mehra and team for this beautiful film.. Thank u TM for this thread, it brought back sweet memories..

Please read this article on RDB by Hartosh Singh Bal.

Best lines in the end

This Bhagat Singh is forgotten in the movie, instead only his identification with violence is resurrected. Rang De Basanti ends in a predictable hail of bullets and platitudes. It's perhaps not too presumptuous to imagine that faced with the vapidity of DJ and co., Bhagat Singh would have told them to drag their sorry arses back to class and get themselves an education.

🤣

I cant even picture anyone else in Sid's role.. Siddharth Narayan was so so awesome in this film 👏 , wish he does more bollywood films.

Maybe playing second fiddle to Aamir part is right but Hrithik said categorically that it was impossible for him to play two difficult characters simultaneously, he said playing a mentally disabled character in kmg was tough and then to jump into the complex world of Bhagat Singh would have been too difficult for him.

Siddharth nailed the role. At the end all the actors did justice to theirs characters and made the film what it is.

Bhagat Singh is my all time most favorite Freedom Fighter. Then comes Aazaad.

I so loved the way ROM has presented them in modern India. That emotion.. that fire. Rubaru song says it all. Climax is the best!!

ARR music and it's blending with movie is so freaking awesome. I cry almost every time I hear Luka Chhupi.

Iconic in all sense.
