SRKs Dilwale becomes second highest grosser of 2015 worldwide - Page 6

Despite Deepika Padukone starrer Bajirao Mastani leaving Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale box office collections behind domestically, King Khan's film has grabbed the overseas crown from Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots. Shahrukh's Dilwale, which made waves abroad has logged earnings of $25.6 million.

While Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale' box office collections have made it the highest earning film in Singapore, West Indies & Jordan, it is the second highest earning film of all time in overseas markets such as UAE -GCC, Peru, Kuwait, Indonesia, Egypt and Morocco. Some other countries that saw the highest opening weekend for a Bollywood film include Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Pakistan. Pakistan and Australia saw trends of a different kind, where Dilwale became the 3rd film ever to cross $ 2 million and the first ever SRK film to cross AUD 1 million, respectively.

While in UK, which is one of the biggest overseas markets for Bollywood films, Dilwale had collections that were unbelievable. UK crossed GBP 1 million in just five days and it was the fourth SRK film to cross GBP 2 million. Only seven films have done it so far.

Here is how the top grossers of Bollywood performed internationally:

Aamir Khan's PK logged collections of $47.2 million overseas collection. PK is followed by Dhoom 3, powered once again by none other than Aamir Khan. Dhoom 3 overseas collections are $31.1 crore. Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected $29 million.

Apart from Dilwale, Shah Rukh Khan's other films My Name is Khan, Chennai Express and Happy New Year top the chart of overseas collections. Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Deepika Padukone starrer Bajirao Mastani has also made it to the top 10 list.
