Hrithik Roshan mimics Amitabh Bachchan in Sanjay Gupta's 'Kaabil'

Mumbai: Hrithik Roshan might still be reeling under the after-effects of his monstrous debacle Mohenjo Daro,' but the actor has nevertheless been working all guns blazing on his upcoming Sanjay Gupta directed Kaabil'.

The actor reportedly plays a dubbing artist who also happens to be an excellent mimicry artist.

"When Hrithik did a voice imitation of Big B, he was so uncannily close to the original that everyone on the sets assumed that sound designer Resul Pookutty had somehow engineered the voiceover," DNA quoted a source as saying.

The source adds, "Hrithik's character Rohan Bhatnagar in Kaabil is a blind man who lives a normal life in the city much like many others there and earns by being a dubbing artiste. Apart from Mr Bachchan's voice, Rohan is seen mimicking other celebrities as well."

Mimicry, incidentally happens to be another talent of the multi-faceted actor. The actor, hence, reportedly insisted on doing the job himself and was adamant a professional mimicry artist wasn't hired for the job. Hrithik and Resul worked hard on the impersonations and it reportedly has worked out convincingly.

On mimicking Amitabh Bachchan's voice for the reel, Hrithik was quoted to have said, "I guess this is just a reflection of the kind of impact Mr Bachchan has had on my generation, and of course, the fact that hard work equals results."

Kaabil,' produced by Rakesh Roshan, and also starring Yami Gautam, is scheduled to release on Janurary 26, 2017.

Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil to Release in Telugu

Chennai: Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil, which is slated for worldwide release on January 26, 2017, will have a simultaneous release in Telugu too.

The film will be dubbed and released in Telugu because of Hrithik's huge fan base in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, read a statement issued on behalf of the movie's makers.

"The Krrish series and Dhoom 2 have been huge hits in the Telugu states," read the statement.

The first look teaser of Kaabil, along with its Telugu version, will be released on diwali.

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the film stars Yami Gautam and has music by Rajesh Roshan.

After Priyanka, Hrithik turns to Urvashi

Urvashi Rautela may have just bagged a song in Hrithik Roshan's next home production Kaabil, thanks to Priyanka Chopra and Sunny Leone's packed diaries. Hrithik and Kaabil director Sanjay Gupta were looking to revive 1981's Yaarana track Saara Zamana (originally composed by Hrithik's uncle Rajesh Roshan) in the film, and had approached PC and Sunny to feature in it.

According to a source, "Hrithik had approached the two but they are both currently shooting for their respective work abroad and had to turn down the offer. Hrithik was highly impressed with Urvashi's act in her latest video Gall Ban Gayi and decided to rope her for the song remake."

When contacted the spokesperson of Urvashi, he said, "Yes, Hrithik and Sanjay Gupta have approached her for the song and things are in the pipeline."

In this romantic drama, Hrithik will be seen romancing Yami Gautam. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Kaabil also stars Ronit Roy and Sonu Sood in pivotal roles and is set to clash with Shah Rukh Khan's much awaited Raees on January 26, 2017.
