Shahrukh is career in BW is above and beyond criticism , he had/has a dream run in Bollywood which others can only dream of . His single handed contribution to indian cinema reaching worldwide audience is praiseworthy and can never be taken away from him . Worldwide people recognize it as they are out of the petty politics, bitchiness an ganging up that happens in BW and consider him the as one of the biggest star .

Better to confine him to Bollywood (Hindi) movies for these words (most successful and most consistent). Hollywood fans will object for the use of Tom Cruise. South Indian would say Rajnikant.

Fair enough to have your own opinion on this. But, see, anytime anyone says Big B isn't one of the great actors Bollywood has seen or he's not a star, I'm quite baffled. The guy is 70+ now, has immense respect from him collegues, fans, etc and is still able to bag roles and awards. It's not all about the films being super hits. It's more about being a complete package. Sure, people believe that Amit ji is made out to be far greater than he actually is. But truth is he's made a tremendous impact in the industry and is much more superior than the Khans. Dilip Kumar ji will always be #1, but Amit ji is the 2nd greatest actor in our industry.

No one can ham like SRK either lol

Why are we comparing the popularity and success of Hollywood actors to that of Bollywood actors? lol. Come on now. Hollywood is far more universal, when bollywood really isn't. And, despite that..SRK has done immensely well for himself all over.

SRK fans have gone banana.. Callling SRK the most consistent and not looking back Bollywood megastars in the past.
