But Roger you are speaking sense.😆 Those movies too all would suffer the same fate if they clashed with a well marked, well made movie. They would opening and fall like a pack of cards. The evidence to this is their second week number and the Monday drop.

I would add D3 in that bracket too but it trended phenomenally (a mystery considering its quality, I have those 1-2 theories which I mentioned in another thread); so can't say that it would have done badly in a clash. It had a second week of above 50 crores which only 4 movies have managed so far.

As for Sultan vs Raees, its most probably happening. Its either that or one of them vs ADHM and Shivaay on Diwali. That makes it too crowded.
Its highly unlikely anyone of them will move to Christmas. Sultan won't, Dangal and it are too similar and lets be honest, Dangal will be the better product.

True. DOM would have been similar.

@bold PRDP would have suffered more in that regard and it had a huge budget as well. The overseas numbers would have dipped even further in a clash.

I have not seen the film so can't comment on it...

That is what I was thinking too. Diwali will become too crowded. Ajay ain't moving and neither is Karan. Ranbir needs a bit of breathing space. Four below par products in the last 5 and then a two way clash.😆 That is almost unfair in a way...

15th Aug has MoenjoDaro and Rustom.

That leaves X-mas but I doubt they will go for it. X-mas is the worst period to release a movie( from the big three holidays); if it is not good, it will get beaten black and blue. WOM is really important here. You can't make up in the first weekend due to a huge holiday. Dangal can wallop them if the movies aren't up to par. Or the same can happen with Dangal, if its not good😆 (but the chances of that happening are pretty low, it would have been in production for around two years by its release date.)

Eid it is then, I think. Sultan is not moving that I am almost certain of. Raees is the tricky one but where will it go?
