I don't give a shit about the BO reports.
Both MNIK and Dilwale are crap films with nothing great about SRK-Kajol's chemistry. That's what matters.
You are like Salman fans who when cannot digest that their favorite's film was strictly okay, they start showing off BO reports. I am guessing you guys probably diss them for the crap film he does.

for the question this thread made for...my answer is 'No..Their Legacy Is Not Affected'...

aamir-juhi has given flops...but still they are known as BW iconic couple

anil-madhuri had their share of flops...but still they are known as BW iconic couple...

when their legacy did not end and still known as iconic couple of BW...how can SRKajol legacy ends especially when they are only couple whose film has been running for 20 yrs and created a world record of longest running film and they are tag as the 'most romantic couple of indian cinema'

My comment isn't about the BO reports at all (directly or indirectly).

The legacy of this couple has been that they have made not so great movies watchable just because of them and their chemistry and they were not a romantic jodi
A movie doesn't get improbable than Karan Arjun, but watch jaathi hoon mein and watch Janam Janam and Gerua today. Same chemistry. The quality of the film or the role has never been necessary for this couple's chemistry to be defined. In fact, their chemistry has elevated mediocre films to memorable and memorable films to iconic. There was nothing special about DDLJ, but it speaks to generations even today and that is purely because of SRK and Kajol. KKHH, the whole 'shaadi ek baar and pyar ek baar bhakwas' of the SRK character and how quickly that was reversed when he met Kajol's character would never have worked without SRK-Kajol. Even MNIK in a rather choppy story it worked. I can only speak for myself and for me, Dilwale worked because of SRK-Kajol

They look aged and jaded now.

Dilwale promos were not exciting at all. Nor were the songs. 🥱

Protests are an excuse because there were protests during PK also but it broke all records.

They can't keep milking the same jodi forever. And a Rohit Shetty film does them no justice at all. Johar and Chopras presented them the best.

I found the focus on SRK Kajol excessive. Promotions totally sidelined Varun and Kriti as if they had no role at all.

Obviously SRK-Kajol are not going to excite audiences as they used to in the 90s. Probably they would get a better response in their version of Baghban few years from now. 😆

There was no planned campaign around PK...The protests around PK were there because of what was shown in the movie...and trust me...it motivated a lot of people to just go and see what all the hulla was about...the protests about DW had nothing to do with the movie...it had to do with SRK's statements...there is a big difference between the two...
