It seems SRK is going Tom Cruise way. Hit overseas but flop in his own country.

Dilwale did have bad WOM except maybe in IF forums. Can't blame SRK for the product though. Rohit Shetty messed it up.

which tweet??...maine bahut se tweet miss kiye hain😭...but anyways...just go for his numbers...his personal opinion is subjective and doesn't matter just like his reviews😆

This is 2015 and there is another India outside of India...u should see the long lines for BW movies...we are in no way less than the domestic audience😆😆...I don't think that BW can and should ignore the overseas audience any more...😛

Dilwale Heads For 20 Million Plus In Overseas

Dilwale gis heading for a $20 million plus overseas total with business of around $16,75 million (INR 111 cr) in ten days. The best market is Gulf where it is the verge of crossing Dhoom 3 and becoming the second highest grosser ever in that market. The Gulf business is $6.25 million in ten days while Dhoom 3 was $6.5 million The apprx Overseas figures are as follows..

First Weekend - $8.5 million

First Week - $13 million

Second Weekend - $3.75 million

TOTAL - $16.75 milliom

The film has fared much better in Overseas than India as the second weekend drop is just 55% though Xmas factor has helped in some markets,.

Salman Khan starrer 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' collected 142 cr worldwide over weekend and 6 million $ in overseas over weekend. Both figures were lower than earlier Salman starrer BB.

All Time Top Overseas And Worldwide Weekends, DILWALE Ranks Among Top 5 Films

Shahrukh Khan starrer ''Happy New Year'' was much awaited release and film fulfilled all expectations. Film managed to create new record on opening day in domestic circuit and now film has also delivered some sort of big numbers in overseas as well as worldwide market.

Film collected 7.25 million dollar (44.30 cr) over weekend in overseas market which was 2nd best of all time only behind ''Dhoom 3''. Film created new record in UK with highest weekend ever (10 cr plus) which is quite a stagnant market as far as Hindi films are concerned. Though from high standards of Shahrukh Khan, it did underperformed a bit.

Film grossed 189 cr worldwide in 3 days and that is only 2nd to ''Dhoom 3'' (207 cr). This was a huge figure surpassing big hits like ''Kick'', and ''Chennai Express''. Film can become 2nd highest grosser in terms of lifetime numbers if it continues at same pace. But Aamir Khan starrer 'PK' collected 8 million dollar in overseas which was 2nd best weekend of all time only behind last year release 'Dhoom 3'. Film collected 95 cr nett in domestic market over weekend and thus 146 cr nett worldwide which was 4th best weekend worldwide ever.

Salman Khan starrer 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' was expected to do well but it surpassed all expectations with humongous business. Film became 2nd biggest opener in overseas over weekend with 8 million $ collection which was equal to 'PK' and was 2nd to 'Dhoom 3'. Film had 3rd best opening worldwide gross weekend with 185 cr number which was equal to 'Chennai Express' and less than 'Happy New Year' and 'Dhoom 3'. Salman Khan starrer 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' collected 142 cr worldwide over weekend and 6 million $ in overseas over weekend. Both figures were lower than earlier Salman starrer BB.

Even Tom Cruise fans say there is world outside US but when your movies don't perform at domestic markets something is grossly wrong with the product.

BW never ignored overseas audience. DW did not perform well even in USA/Canda. If a product is good it will be accepted everywhere. People are smart and thanks to social media they know about it in minutes.
