Tells you the standard of these award when she didn't even get a nomination for the lead actress. For some reason they put her in the supporting actress category despite her being the lead in Haider.

+1!

OT: Kangy is arrogant and has a major ego problem. If she doesn't respect the awards then the awards won't respect her. It's that simple.

But Tabu won all the supporting award...kangana won the best actress award. They should've given to Tabu because she was there and was the lead in Haider

Kangana is one of those people who just can't stop being cranky. Her superiority complex is what gets the worst out of her mouth.

I can understand Aamir dissing the awards and not wanting to attend them as he has a history with it... Why is Kangana trying I be the female Aamit Khan... How many award functions was she wronged? Does she feel she deserved an award for Rascals?

Sigh... Perfect topic to invite bashing. 😆 She was ably recognized for Queen and rightly so. And in the end, awards will always be subjective and open to debate regardless of who won or not.

A piece of advice to Kangy admirers...

As difficult it may be, one shouldn't cling on to the hope that she will sweep all awards and her pics splashed in media, in particularly if she is deserving, each year.

How the awards operate, is well known. Most of them are TRP events with a complete different agenda. They are to make money first and honoring excellence is simply a coincidence. Kangy doesn't want to play award games like the industry wants to for her known reasons.

She has gone on record to give an example of how Screen organizers talked to her rudely when she couldn't genuinely attend to collect her Krishh 3 trophy for Best Villain a couple of years ago. They basically told her "You better come and take it, or else we will give it to someone else."

I don't know about you... but who talks to someone like that??? If I were in her place, I would do the same.

Basically, as movie fans, we put a lot of emphasis on these Indian awards. I know a strong source within the industry who told me that, none of the insiders take them seriously. They are just events to party, be known on the red carpet and that's it. The kind of people who attend these shows is a good reflection of how much support these events have. 😉

The concept of "jury" is basically non-existent. Every event's show organizers have multiple names for different category and based on who attends, they assign the awards. Filmfare is the only one that seem to have a sense of structure compared to the other. Screen got polluted in the last decade! 😛

When she doesn't derive ego satisfaction from them or care for them, why should we? She will continue to be ignored at every possible opportunity now and even in future. Unless once in a while an award show genuinely wants to acknowledge her, case in point Filmfare and IFFA this year.
National Awards have focused on merit and do not have a commercial agenda, thankfully independent of star system!

As her fan, I have only hope from Filmfare and National Awards in future. The latter is unpredictable due to regional entries.

If she really was on a mission to sweep all trophies, she would have played the system very well and not given anyone else a chance, especially at a time when she is the clear front runner.

Her rivals and their fans could thank her for not attending. 😆

Tabu was good, but she wasn't that good 😆 lets not get carried away.

Kangana owned Queen, and thats why she's a national award winner and thats why all the award shows had no choice but to give her the award because of how impactful her performance was! Saying that she deserves an Oscar is overreacting

Giving someone an award even though they won't attend is a really big deal! Its only happened a handful of times.
